As promised in Part 4 of our interview with Snoop Dogg, we're back with a couple of songs from Snoop's upcoming compilation album "The Big Squeeze", which has been pushed back to an April release. The project was entirely produced by Snoop as Niggarachi, and features Western Union, Warzone, Kurupt, JT The Bigga Figga, Terrace Martin, Azure amongst others.
The first is a Warzone (Goldie Loc, Kam & MC Eiht) track called "Shaccled Up", which takes you right into the county jail, vividly described by each of the artists on the song, a real grimy track:
Warzone - Shaccled Up (http://www.dubcnm.com/audio/2007/february/warzone-shaccled_up-(dubcnn).mp3)
Next up we have a Kurupt song featuring Kam called "Pop Pop Bang", get it below:
Kurupt - Pop Pop Bang (ft. Kam) (http://www.dubcnm.com/audio/2007/february/kurupt_kam-pop_pop_bang-(dubcnn).mp3)
Then we get to the Western Union (Bad Lucc, Damani & Soopafly) track called "Hat 2 Tha Back", which Damani spoke on in our last interview:

Last but not least we have Snoop's latest female singer Azuré on an up-tempo party track with Snoop on the hook, check it out below:
Azuré - Get It Started (ft. Snoop Dogg) (http://www.dubcnm.com/audio/2007/february/azure_snoop_dogg-get_it_started-(dubcnn).mp3)
Be on the lookout for "The Bigg Squeeze" dropping in April, and for Part 5 of our exclusive interview series with Snoop Dogg, where we touch on this project amongst other things.

Mel-Man aka Melvin Bradford
Is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
-
how does dre find people like mel man, lady of rage(va), truth hurts(st louis right?) etc....shit is crazy.
-T
-
Yeah these are all produced by Snoop, as it says in the news update.. "The project was entirely produced by Snoop as Niggarachi," ;)
-
really??? i dont like those "simple" beats :-[ That is just my opinion

Those 3 that Mel-Man did for Kurupt is on his album. I have heard the Shackled Up and the Hat 2 Tha Bacc already, I wont put the person on blast that I got the tracks from but they cool. Shackled Up has a wierd beat though, but all 3 mc's ripped it though. The Kurupt track is alright, same with the Azure song. Nothing mind blowing.

It does sound like Snoop became a producer overnight on alot of those tracks. :-\ Maybe he should have let Soopafly produce THIS whole album. ;D

I don't think Dre actually goes aroudn lookin for them..he probbaly gets a call from soemone in his camp..or Snoop, Dj Quik..or sumbody he knows, probably reaches out to him..and puts him up on that artist..Ya know..
i know Big Chan fomr Doggy Angels..met Snoop at a club..and walked up to him, and spoke to him and agve him a demo...Snoop heard it and the rest as they say is history..

lol..Well perhaps..but it's a new venture for him..so i wouldn't knock it. just yet...imo..

I remembe that, but I also remember that this was in promotion of each of these artists respective albums.

According to Snoopafly, Soopafly ain't producin'! And snoop's shit is hit and miss, I've seen him drop tight beats and not tight beats.

True. I am just saying on the ones I have so far. I like those tracks Snoop produced on LBC Crew and G Funk is my shit off of Nate Dogg's album he did along with LT. This is just "different". Hat 2 Tha Bacc is cool.
-
pop pop bang is kinda kool
-
did snoop co produce 'got beef' from ES with LT as well?

By the way whats the whole Dogghouse , Doggystyle situation? is it still doggystyle or its back as dogghouse? and who's distributing the label now?
-

Yeah I was wondering about that too. Dogghouse was through TVT and Doggystyle is on like its 2nd or 3rd distributor.
-
doggystyle/dogghouse(when snoop feels like saying 'this is new shit' he says dogghouse, when he feels like saying 'i really been helpin niggaz eat for years' it's doggystyle like the label he was supposed to have had under DR) is quite literally just a label, not a company.
Snoop's own shit is released on priority now I think and he convinces Koch to bank on his other acts every once in a while.
peep my signature quote, snoop is delusional. but so are most rappers; especially ones who think they have labels. Rage and Crooked I own labels yet they can't even drop a fuckin' album whent they want to? pieces of paper with logos on them is just that pieces of papers with logos on them. When you own a record label you can drop albums when you want to. Period. Anybody saying otherwise is bullshit and rappers forgot this basic definition fucking years ago.

Well Suge owned the rights to the name Doggystyle Records just like he did with Tha Dogg Pound. He was going to distribute the label under Death Roe when Snoop was there. He did not renew the rights to it so Daz and Snoop picked up those names after like 2002 or 2003. That is why he named it Dogghouse. I think he wanted to even name it DPG Recordz at one time but Daz owned that name too. Snoop is through Geffen, his label is through a different company.
-
will these tracks be on the retail album Nima?
props on the songs btw
-
props.....but snoop is a rapper and not a producer...
-
pop pop bang is cool but what a surprise that beat really takes away from it somehow.
-
His label doesn't exist outside of his mind. He convinces Koch to release an act or two of his every once in a while. Having a label is like when you can say "I'ma sign you, pay for your album to get made and make it with you, then we're droppin' this shit." Not no "My wife's trying to help Rage find a label to sign Rage" or "OH Latoya's shit had some issues we may get it out somehow." Rappers like to think they have labels, they have documents that prove they own a name, that's it. It's a literal label, a logo.

^^^^^^^Lets see if Snoop will read that!!!
-
I got nothing but love for snoop, he's dope...I'm just saying he's inaccurate in saying he has a label when he has
a)no consistent distributor
b)..Man, fuck B when you ask what label was CIA on what do you answer? Koch, right?
when the answer to such questions is 'dogghouse' or 'doggystyle' snoop has a label again. around the time of tha eastsidaz, i'd say he did but once it went independent they went independent on someone e;ses indie label (Koch)....which is still cool but he just needs to stop frontin'.
-T
-
my god these are awful :-X
I'd bet my life I could make better beats than these
he seriously needs to stop producing, right now
-
THEY NEED BEATS AND DIRECTION BAD! :-[
-
these beats SUCKS fo real
-
snoop knows, it's just fun for him to get to do some beats and exposure for his artists cause his name's all over it. but yeah meech, when snoop gets back from touring with puffy, tell him you wanna make funky beats for him, he told Nima he's with it.

-
what the fuck is this crap? i feel insulted.
-
niggarachi.. wack name, wack producer.
-
The production ruins it, they need some good beats
-
Snoop iz a good producer ! i'm sure
-
It's aight! Not much but solid at the same time!
-
Nothing againts those new beats but if Snoop knew how to produce beats, and make great beats back then, how can he come up with this like he never produced before?
-

Yeah I listen to some of those beats on that interview with Nima and it does not sound like the same person. The only thing I can think of is Snoop is REALLY doing these beats on his own. At least the mc's are bringing the heat.

I think most of Snoops beats that he produced int he past were only co-produced by Snoop, one of the dopest being that OJ Wake Up beat he did with LT
