The Los Angeles Clippers today signed guard Doug Christie to a 10-day contract, it was announced by Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor.
A 14-year NBA veteran, Christie has averaged 11.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game over his career. Christie tallied 3.7 points and 2.6 assists in seven games played for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2005-06 season.
During the 2001-02 NBA Playoffs, Christie averaged 11.1 points and 5.8 rebounds in helping lead the Sacramento Kings to within one game of the NBA Finals, losing to the Lakers in overtime of Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. Known as a defensive specialist, Christie was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2003 as well as the All-Defensive Second Team’s in 2001, 2002 and 2004, all while with the Sacramento Kings. Christie still ranks as the Toronto Raptors’ all-time steals leader with 664 (1995-96 through 1999-00) and shares the single-game NBA record for most steals in one half with 8 (Toronto at Philadelphia, 4/2/97).
In his 14-year career, Christie played for six NBA teams, including the Lakers (1992-1994), New York (1994-95), Toronto (1996-2000), Sacramento (2000-2004), Orlando (2005) and Dallas (2005-06).
Christie was the 17th overall selection in the 1992 NBA Draft out of Pepperdine University, where he averaged 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists over his three-year collegiate career.

i can't believe this at all. i can't believe any1 is happy or mad. it's a fucking 10 day contract. the only way i'd ever care about a contract like this, is if it was a specific player i like, or a specific player i dis-like.
