Title: Time To Confess:  Who Got Snoop's Death Row GH's?
Post by: Murrow on October 23, 2001, 10:43:40 AM
I just got it.  I only bought it for those 8 unreleased songs.  It's funny how on the credits for "Eastside," it says, "The Original Death Row Eastsidaz."  LoL

I think the 8 'new' Snoop tracks kill the 12 on "Dead Man Walkin."

The strange thing about that CD is that most of the unreleased songs include lyrics that Snoop would later use on Top Dogg so the unreleased songs kind of lose their appeal quick to me.

Yeah true.. also.. i just noticed that dribs and drabs of snoops lyrics on the "Eastside" song were used on something on the first Eastsidaz album.. i checked the booklet and the track is subtitled 'The Original Death Row Eastsidaz'.. makes me wonder if they planned to have Snoop/Daz and Tray Dee as a recording group.

I might burn it. The only GH album I'm gonna get is Cube's even though I got all his songs except for the 2 new ones.  ;D

If I buy that DR shit then the money is gonna go to them and not Snoop. Well I think it ain't.  ::)

Yeah fuck Suge.  I encourage everybody to go download and burn this shit right now.  It's obvious he's just tryin to milk Snoop.  It also might offset the chance of a new Snoop album coming out anytime soon, because the market is flooded with Snoop shit right now: Bones, The Wash, Dead Man Walkin, Eastsidaz, and Last Meal.  And now this?  Damn!

Newsflash--When you steal an album , the only company that loses money is the store because theyre the ones that bought the album, ya understand?

Also-sure the Snoops greatest hits cd is tight because Snoops is tight, but its not worth getting ahead of Eastsidaz, Bones, or the Wash soundtrack.  If you have everythign else from Snoop, then go ahead and cop this if you need another Snoop fix, jus dont make it top PRIORITY.

it's not like Death Row wanted to release this cd anyway.  Priority was the one that wanted this cd out, since Snoop owes them cd's as well as Tha Row.

Why all the hatin on Death Row, I have heard nothin but love from Snoop and Dre towards them, I am still down with Death Row, it was Dre's child, and it always will be in my eyes, but you guys are entitled to your opinions, I still like Deathrow, but I love Snoop and Dre, Deathrow helped build West Coast rap, sure it aint as good as it used to be, but Suge Knight is building the empire back up and maybe just maybe Deathrow might be the place to be again.
