Title: How do substitutes get their jobs?
Post by: QuietTruth on February 06, 2007, 11:28:16 AM
Seriously.

Do they have a certin way of applyin'? And/or they backround checked?

I know for those who want to become a legit teacher, they must sub or student teach first.

But ya know, for the others they pull out here, what's their deal? Anybody here got the info?

Or any info about anythang on this topic.

I don't think so. I remember having subs come in year after year and they were already pretty old. Some people just prefer being a sub I guess. You get more than a starting teacher makes if you work all the time and you have no prep work or marking to speak of. Sweet gig.
