Woz listenin 2 DR greatest hits 2day and it got me finkin as to how no vaseline ended up bein released on DR. Im sure ive heard the story behind it b4, but i cant remember, any1 know?
-
I think Suge purchased rights to the song. Still doesn't make sense to me tho. It's Death Row's greatest hits, not a compilation of songs to piss Dre off.
-
^^^Yeah it seemed kind of strange that they threw it on there. But 1) its death row n they gotta put sumfin different on all those compilations and 2) it does kinda fit in with the story of how Dre came 2 leave ruthless, and form DR in a way.

yeah i remember in late 98 and eraly 99 all the way to like 2001 everything Dr put ut was a diss to Dre, Snoop, Eminem, REmeber Milkbone? lol
-
yeah i thought it was weird how Death Row put out that No Vaseline ep, which seems to be really hard to find nowadays.

what? never heard of that..

I got the 12" of it but it was a 2001(ish) re-issue of it.
-
Only reason it was put on there was because it was a diss to Dre.
-
one of the best diss songs of all time, but has no place on a Death Row Greatest Hits album
-
that shit is absolutely ridiculous, that probably pisses cube off more than dre.
milkbone, sounds familiar, wasn't he some white rapper on DR?

Yeah he only had one song on the Chronic 2000. He also came out with a solo album that probably only sold 5 copies.
