Interview going down tomorrow.
Ohh shit! :o
This came out of out of the blue, dope! PROPS!
Made me turn of Omar Cruz and dig up my Bay area collection(I know he´s not from the Bay,but he´s Bay connected) and listen to his "Be Yo' Self" album, dope album!
"Satelite Niggaz" featuring Above The Law is straight fire and the shit he did with Khayree is off the meat rack!
There's a funny track named "Wasted Talent" featuring Mac Mall on his "Be Yo' Self" album.
I can't help to think of Big Syke himself when I listen to that track.
Yo Syke if you read this, don't waste your talent! Come back and bless us with some more dope shit!
If I don't remember wrong you was signed to khayree over at Young Black Brotha Records, what happend to that deal?
Did you record a album over at Young Black Brotha?
If so did Khayree produce it?
Any chance that a unreleased YBB album ever will be released or is the only tracks you recorded over there already released on the many Khayree/YBB compilations?
Or you still cool with Khayree,if so what's up with him and his new album "Blackalation 2"?
Have Khayree asked you to be a part of "Blackalation 2"?
What's up with the deal over at Treacherous Records, are you still signed?
Who will produce the album (will you work with Komplex and Jim Gettum)?

good questions.
-
most importantly wussup with treacherous records. who is still signed and shit. when's his album comin on there, and wussup with that "micks tape" they've talked about.
-
what did you think when the 2Pac song "my closest road dawgs" was released and you were taken off of it?
What is your favorite memory of you and Pac?
-
continuing with pac, what was he like with his freinds and life in genral. We all knwo when it came to music he was very passionate but what else was he passionate about, sports, movies, history what else?
-
1. who were killa b, and man man? thug life members or affiliates?
2. evil mind consisted of you (as lil psycho killa), mental illness, and domino. was kato involved?
3. how did you hook up with johnny j to complete the evil mind album?
4. what are your honest thoughts about what was done to hennessey on lttg (your lttg remix verse was hotness btw)?
5. the original version of cradle to the grave is labeled as professor jay and syke mix. did you co-produce it?
6. the thug life lp was changed a bit before release largely due to the climate of hip hop and how major labels felt that hip hop walked the lines of decency. apart from the madukey remix of cradle to the grave, what other changes can you tell us about? [see if you can get him talking about runnin, str8 ballin og, etc]
7. str8 ballin is the same song lyrically as gettin' money. which came first, and was it just a matter of finally finding a beat (like warren g's) that captured where pac wanted to go with the song?
8. there is a lot of talk about my closest road dog. the uteot version has a verse that was new to most people, and your verse wasn't included. can you tell us more about this track?
9. what are your thoughts about remixing pac's work for retail release? it seems like the quality of the remixing has decreased over the years and the sound of the final product is drifting farther and farther away from the music as pac recorded it.
10. outlawz - milking pac's fame or helping the legacy?
11. any plans on more thuglaw, thug life reunion albums? anything recorded before mack was locked up?
12. you never signed to death row, which is surprising to a lot of people since you were clearly there a lot and recorded a lot of tracks. rumor has it that pac told you not to sign. what's the real story?
13. it seems like pac's friendship with you was a very heavy influence on the direction he pursued in his music - ultimately leading to his death row persona. he used a lot of evil mind samples and concepts in his music throughout his career as well. how did you link up with pac in the first place? ...and how did you all get so tight?
14. big syke daddy was an amazing album. when did you start working on it? it had some instrumental similarities to other songs johnny j had done for pac (like closest road dog og, ucbt) which was a nice touch. sounded like a full circle look back. you re-used a few verses here and there (good times, road dog, letter to the president). was it your thought that your vocals were going to be cut from the tracks or that they were never going to see the light of day?
15. a lot of controversey surrounds this, and you'd be the best person to give the final answer... when you are removed from a song as an original collaborating artist, does amaru or death row still pay you royalties for your work?
16. during the thug life sessions there was an unknown female rapper who performed a female version of fake ass bitches. was that yanni, or do you know who it was?
17. do you have any regrets?
18. what can we look forward to next? your albums have been consistently good, but the energy of big syke daddy makes it a west coast classic.
-
Also ask that doggie if he has the OG thug life vol.1 album (a lot of songs were cut) and if he does then ask him
is he would be willing to release it (sorta like what OFTB is doing now).
-
Is that Outlaw Immortals album still coming out?
Whats up with Napoleon,Mopreme and Storm?
What are some of your fondest memories of Kadafi?
How do you feel about the current state of the rap game?
Will you be featured on the next Outlawz album?
Will Pac's "One Nation" album ever be released?
-
id like him to speak on the whole Rap A Lot situation, and what happened with it..and abou his times in Houston..
-
1. ask him who warren g ment (dubcnn-interview, about "how long will they mourn me" when he said "lil´syke was in the studio", is here some1 affiliated with thuglife with the name "lil´syke"?
2.why didnt mopreme drop a verse on "how long will they mourn me"?
3.whats up with rated r?any solos to exept from rated?
4.ask him about prince ital joe, storm and ASK HIM ABOUT DAT THUGLIFE GIRL "YANNI" (featured on "Thug Angel DVD"
5.ask him about suge knight.
DON`T FUCK UP THE WHOLE INTERVIEW BY ASKIN QUESTIONS LIKE:
"whos gon be on your new album?
what lable?
why?
favorite song on the album?
LONG STORY SHORT: WE ARE ON SOME BACK IN THE DAYS SHIT. YA KNOW?
I DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT TREACHEROUS RECORDS (sp?).
DONT MISUNDERSTAND ME..YAKNOW WHAT I MEAN
-
leave the past in the past for the most part.
-
yeh i see whatchu mean but still....
-
yea, i agree on fuck a question like "your fav. song on the album". i think there's enough interview time to ask a bit about a past, as well as questions bout treacherous records, his new treacherous album, guests & producers on the album, a release date, and wussup with that treacherous micks tape. i think his new album should be decent, because that track that was on his myspace with knoc-turn'al "can't do it better" was dope as fuck.
-
- Current situation and future plans
-Are you still in contact with Outlawz/Thug Life? Future releases?
-What do you think about all these new Pac albums?
-How do you see the developpment of Hip-Hop, epecially on the Westcoast, since Pac's death? Who's your favorite artist right now?
-How would be like your situation if Pac was alive? What would be different?
-What were your plans in 1996 before Pac died?
-What do you think of Afeni Shakur/Suge Knight ( not that important)
-
wheres the interview?
-
it's gone be up next month.
thx for the q's.
peace
-
damn, that was a gang of questions. i'm sure dubcc/dubcnn makes lesser known artists like syke feel appreciated with how much people wanna know from them.
-T
-
why did he remake that 'all eyez on me' track wit spider loc?
that shit was wack!!
also when is he next album coming out?
who is he signed with?
who will feature on his next album?
is he still cool with suge knight?
-
i think it's too late
-T
-
when will u stop makin records cuz u suck?
i heard you got kicked out of the outlawz cuz you was caught suckin dick in a filthy bathroom in West Hollywood. what happened?
how many dicks have u taken up dat ass?
and last question. is it true 2pac was a closet homo?
-

stfu

According to the liner notes of the "15 Years On Deathrow" album, it says that you were featured on the original version of the track "Loyal to the Game." It then goes on to say that it was remixed before it was used for the "Above the Rim" soundtrack. Is that accurate? If so, how much did the production vary from the version that features Treach and Riddler? And did you use a different or similar verse to the one that you used on the Dj Quik remix that was featured on the Eminem produced "Loyal to the Game" album?
***shit...just noticed I'm way too late. Okay. Just save this question for next interview. ;D
-

Seriously, how ungrateful can some people be? We are pretty much the only major outlet that allows our readers and community members to even contribute questions and have that interaction with artists...and still people complain...of course some interviews dont happen when they are supposed to but thats not down to us, its the artists/labels/streetteams that mess up and it affects us... - to combat these problems we've discussed stopping taking questions altogether to avoid people complaining like this - maybe we'll start to do that instead.

2pac was a gemini, so we know he had a dual personality. When you hung with 2pac, did ya'll have alot of deep conversations or was it mostly clownin and parties?
What did ya'll usually talk about in some of your deepest convo's?
Do you feel like 2pac was happy with his life... or did he always seem troubled?
2pac described himself as the realest nigga in rap. He was the one that kept the rap game real. Now he's been gone for over 10 years. What do you feel the state of hip-hop is today?
