Montana could have won 4 or 5 MVP's as well that he didnt. Favre won 3 reg season MVP's, Montana won 3 Sb MVP's...whats REALLY more important? 8)

oh shit, shit is tied up!

I protested this whole election because of no Jim Plunkett, but if Montana doesn't win that will be the greatest mistake DubCC has made, so I am voting so Joe Cool baby.

You know who I'm voting for 8)

I'll take a 16 game MVP over a 1 game MVP award any day of the week. That being said I'm still picking Montana. He has a better downside, meaning when he plays bad in the big game (in his prime) he plays better than Favre at Favre's worst. It's not by much but Joe Cool gets the nod.

Joe Montana def did force throws like Favre. And i will tell you one thing Montana would have NEVER EVER EVER cost his team like Favre did against the Eagles in the 04 playoffs, pathetic! Throwing the ball straight in the air and it gets picked!

and IMO when Joe used to get banged up 90 percent of the time he PROBABLY could have played cuz he was back after 1 week, but im thinking the Niners just let him sit becuz they knew Young was the backup and they werent losing a TON..where as the Packers would have not won with those backups FAVRE HAD TO PLAY...

What play was that? I remember the 4th and way long that the Eagles converted which would have ended the game if it didn't happen and the fact that the defense let up a 26+ yard play on 4ht and 26 is insulting to football. I don't know I blame Favre for that game. Did he throw the INT in OT to set up Eagles final FG?
Or are we talking about the 4 INT game against Minnesota the next year?

I can't believe I forgot about that play. Still can't picture it. I can still see Bhawoh Jue stupidly reach for the ball on the 4th and 26 but I can't remember anything from OT. But you are right Montana would have never made that throw. Why didn't Green Bay just run the ball in OT to start? Green had piled up quite a few yards already.
