Post by: Dani D on February 16, 2007, 11:18:45 AM
Any one know any updates on a new material from him?  I am hoping to see him connect back with Khayree for another classic - Illegal Business was my favorite album for real

Shoo and Girls Just Wanna are only two songs I like. At about track 9, the album almost turns into a love album. It's weird.

^^ What about track 14, the only good one "Perfect Poison"? I don't think u actually listened to this past track 9 to say it's got a love vibe. Fuck outta here. This Mac Mall album is a testament to the saying "Drugs are Bad". Mac was one of the few rappers from the Bay ( shit from Cali at all ) who rapped liked he has a head on his shoulders. Ecstasy and that Thizz bullshit have completely stripped his mind of his creative spirit. Dude was one of the best the game has ever seen, now he's reduced to rapping over un-mixed, in house production, and he doesn't even flow on beat anymore.

Ok, so track 9 and 10 aren't as lovey dovey as I thought, but 11 and 12 he's pretty much proclaiming love after most of the CD he is talking about pimpin. Perfect Poison isn't that good. Unless you are doing reggae or dancehall, that caribbean shit is played out.

I liked the caribbean sound. The way they flipped it was dope. But ya, this is a pretty terrible cd.

DAMN! This album sounds bad,I haven't checked this album yet,but it sounds like it's time for Mac Mall to visit (Dr.)Khayree. Anybody know what went down between Khayree and Mac Dre after he left YBB? Mac Dre clowned Khayree hard on a couple of tracks. I can't remember which album these tracks appear on,maybe you guys remember?

Could be "Mac Stabber" where he disses Mall & Khayree

yea he used to be able to flow like crazy

you can tell the drugs definitely fucked with him already

majority of the album is just going nowhere, I don't even know what to think really

guess that's what happens when you overdose on pure chemicals

Ok,Tanji I been pumping Mac Dre the last couple of days to re-fresh my opinion on Mac Dre work without Khayree. Well, the shit sounds rushed and unmixed. I enjoy some of the work for what it is,but it's just too much. I got more than 40-50 Mac Dre related albums(solo, groups and compilations).
Shit,I got to do like you, load all them cd's into the computer and burn myself a couple of best of Mac Dre cd's,maybe I will enjoy his work more then.

hah, that's exactly what I do. I made a BANGING tape with the best tracks from al boo boo, dreganomics, and genie of the lamp. To me he just got even nicer man. Check tracks like "Not My Job", "Genie of the Lamp", "Early Retirement", "All I Wanna Do"....he's just a ridiculously good rapper. also stuff from it's not what you say it's how you say it is real good like 'bleezies n heem' and especially 'so hard'.
