Most point gaurds will never get 14 assists in a game, further more average that amount in an entire season 2 years in a row.He wasn't much of a scorer, but he had an excellent FG%, assists per turnover ratio, and steals per 48 mintues for his career. To top that he was tops in assists per 48 minutes. He such a true PG. In a league of high scoring, coachs dream of having such a PG.

I think that West was the better overall player but Stockton was the better PG..

It's the opposite when you poll older people....most old cats would laugh hard at somebody saying Lebron or Dywane Wade are better than Dr. J and Oscar Robertson..but people our age would think that's true.

Since I have seen Jerry West play, and realize that his average would have been even higher if there was a three point line.....I'd say......

Obviously...Quite disturbing. Jerry West was the only one who could give Oscar Robertson or Magic Johnson a run for their money... :-\
