if you've used it as a hard disk to store data, that data will show up in iTunes as 'unknown'

you can do a restore on your ipod from itunes and it will wipe it clean

Damn, I'm trying to Restore but for some reason it keeps saying " There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod "Carls iPod". You dont have permission to access the requested resource." I have no clue why it says that. any ideas?
