R-Tistic, where you at? You produced a banger here.
-
yea i remember when r-tistic put it up bk in the day & said he produced it, its crazy and still is.
forgot to ask, didnt destiny child or some1 make a song over the same beat?
u get paid by them for that shit?
-
i didn't know that r-tistic dude on here was a producer ???

LOL good lookin y'all. Yeah, I've been producin for about 11 years...was down with Black Wall Street for a good minute.
The Destiny's Child situation made the whole thing bittersweet to me. I made that beat early in 2004, far before their album came out. I think their album dropped later in 04, and I never heard it when it dropped...but my best friend called me and was like "Ey!!!!! Destiny's Child stole yo beat!!!!!!!!!" and I was just like WTF??? He played it for me over the phone, and I downloaded it, and realized that 9th Wonder used the same sample as me, but the beat still sounded a bit different. I was mad because that was one of my prime beats, and also because I NEVER sample beats like that...I only have 2-3 beats in my entire catalog that are straight samples like that. So with that, I couldn't sell the beat because they used it, and because I didn't get the sample cleared...so it ended up on G. Malone's mixtape. It has always sucked that the song I produced with the most "starpower" on it had to have a damn sample from a new song that had a single...so even when I first got this track, I would hate playin it for people, because the first thing they would say is "all you did was took Destiny's Child's beat" and most of them felt it was the EXACT same, identical beat...so they'd just be like "whatever, you didn't produce shit"...and it made it worst that Game's verse was recycled.
-
^Now that is fucked up. Are you still producing for artists?
-
I haven't been as active since 05 because I have been in Florida most of the time for school, and haven't been able to get as much work out. I still keep in contact with different rappers, but most of the ones who I was supposed to work with ended up putting their projects off, or say that they are still working on their project. I cancelled my album, R-Ticulation, but I still have a lot of unused beats from there that need to be heard. I am going to L.A. next week, so I am going to try to link up with some people then.

Thats wutz up...good luck playa
-
yeah I had this song on my MP3 player for a good minute. Lyrics were really good on it, but it kindda became abit reptitive after a while.
Damn I feel sorry for you, being stuck in a monkey situation like that. Can understand why you are a bit fed up with the industry because of that...
I sure everything will work our for you. And being in school like that isnt a bad thing either ;)

its a shame you cancelled that project. I still think you should find one dope rapper who is prepared to put the work in and build yourself up together similar to Kidz in the hall.

LOL damm, I figured that they still had some of my old work from 04 there. Phat Rat told me that Ya Boy and Game got a track on one of my favorite beats, but I have no idea where it is and if they will ever use it. Do you rap/produce with them? I am comin back to L.A. this weekend, I need to make a trip over there.

Don't give up on producing yet. Living in the South now, you got a chance to bumb with the right people. ;)
