Title: Does anyone have 40 Thevs "Honors amongst thevs" album(is it any good)

i saw this album yesterday at a store and i can't find any sound samples anywhere so i came on here to ask if anyone knows or have the album that can tell me if it i any good.

Not that this is related to this forum in any way since it aint west coast. . .

But that album is BANGIN'. One of the most slept on classics from the late 90's. The whole thing is one big concept album, set up like a hip hop movie (kinda like what Detox was originally supposed to be). The beats are crazy and so are the rhymes. Go cop it. Trust me.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Prince Paul's "Prince Among Theives"? Because a) 40 Thevs are West Coast (they were rolling with Coolio) and b) Their album isn't even remotely a concept album.

Prince Paul's, on the other hand, was.

KCC - the album is cool. Not a classic, but if you liked the sound of Coolio's My Soul album, it's similar. I'd upload some tracks, but I only have it on cassette lol.

My bad. I was thinkin' about Sporty Thieves. Different group. My bad. Not the same as Prince Paul's album (which was also dope), but a similar conceptual kinda thing.

I haven't heard it in ages, but as Lord Funk said it's got the same sound as My Soul... it's a solid album, definately worth a couple of bucks.
