Will.i.am has said that the album may be released online through social network sites such as MySpace, instead of a traditional store based CD release. It should be noted that Jackson does not have distribution with a major record label. In September of 2006 will.i.am became the head of marketing of the online music distribution company Musicane. It is unknown if the upcoming album will be avaliable on popular online music sites such as iTunes or amazon.com.
LOL, Will.I.am is a fool, and Michael is clueless.

The king of pop is without a major distribution deal. So they're putting his new album out through networks such as MySpace... And how are they going to make money off of it? I didn't think Michael's financial situation was steady enough to let an opportunity to make money slide.

^ Yeah.
I don't think Michael would do this. He got mad that he wasn't gonna get the same amount of money as Celine Dion for performing in Las Vegas cuz she's making $100 million and he was gonna get in the teens of millions. Lol. He wants and needs money, I thought. Who knows though.
As long as I get it, it's all good. His loss. 8)

people would still buy that shit

For real
as long as the album comes out and im able to bump it, it's all good

considering what majors pay their artists i hope this isn't a rumour.
about a dollar a CD <<< selling your product independantly

Sales mean nothing. Its all about profits. Being independent is smart, seeing that you have 100% creative control, make 10x more per album sold, make music your way, and no politics. Any artist on a major label is getting screwed, and should leave.
