that's weird. I dont think i've ever seen a cd for more then 14 used. it wouldnt make sense either. i mean shit real brothas goes for a lot online but you figure the dudes buying it are from all over the world. what are the chances a dudes who happens to be lookin for and and willin to pay top dollar walks into a used cd store.
its a great album though. itd be sick as hell if they remastered it with some more cuts and shit

HELL YEA IT WOULD with that unreleased eazy track dre'sta had on his page that would make the album ever more classic cuz it's my fav. westcoast album ever im not jokin.

it's because the album is out of print, hell, just do a search for it on ebay and see how much it's going for right now.

That doesn't mean anything...you can find Uncle Sam's Curse for like $9 in the used bins

Exactly...I can put the Rich Boy cd on ebay for $30...it's an auction..completely different from a real physical store.

It's a good album, but I can't fault you for passin' on it when it was 30 bucks. I say keep lookin'. Do you have a "Hastings" store out there? I know they have them in Southern Missouri. You live in KC, MO right? I'd try there or a CD Wharehouse, or "Slackers" or other chains like that. Chances are, somewhere else will have it used. And most of the big retail chains aren't going to care what the mark up is on the secondary market. To them it's just another cd. I've had 3 copies of this over the years. The one that I bought when it originally was released, and two that I've found used in stores (once for as low as 3 dollars) Unfortunately I gave both extra copies away. One to a homie who wanted a copy really bad but couldn't find it new. And another as a prize when I used to run a Ruthless website. If I still had an extra one, I'd send it to you, but I don't have any more. But keep lookin'. Don't pay that much when you don't have to.
Oh, and yeah Dresta did mention that he wanted to re-release it with extra tracks, but I don't know when, or if that's even still the plan...would be dope though.
-
Duke prolly saw it at CD wharehouse or Streetside Records. They are both owned by FYE now and use computers to generate used CD values so they do know when a CD is out of print and WILL jack the prices up sometimes. It's funny because I've bought several CD's from both places that were dirt cheap and sold them for mega bucks on Ebay and at the same time you'll see something like the two he's talking about or Lakim Shabazz or Low Profile for $30 to 60 bucks...I guess CD's is the new diggin', not vinyl.
-
Yeah, the first time I ever saw 'Funk Upon A Rhyme' was in the CD Warehouse in san Francisco and they ahd it for $55... guess some of these guys know what they go for.
Tell you one thing though, the idiot who sold it to me for £1 didn't.

damn. I had no idea they were doing that now. I'm glad I've managed to collect most of my Ruthless collection before they started doing that. My advice would then be to start hittin' up pawnshops, 2nd hands stores, and any places like that. I would say eventually you'll find it. If there is a "Slackers" cd store where you live, check there too. I live in Northern Missouri, and they have them around here. I don't think there's any mark up on out-of-print stuff there, because I was there about a month ago and they were selling an original copy of Eazy-E 51/50 for about 7 bucks.

LOL I didn't see the word album in the title so I thought you were saying you bg knoccout and drestra in the store LOL

Slackers is a store chain that sells new and used cds. It's a lot like CD Wharehouse, but I think it's bigger. I've been to the one in Columbia, Missouri and one of the two in St. Louis, Missouri. But, apparently they're starting to expand now, because there are more locations listed on their website, here...

heres the main page...

Anyway, I've found some pretty good buys at this place on rare, out of print cds, so if you're ever close to one, I'd check it out.
