extremely different. new york is more italian/jew influenced and everything is really pronounced, i guess the cali accent is more laid back like, "brooo" surfer type. i dont think i sound like that but other people say that you can tell when someone is from cali. my mom is from ny and got a ny accent so when im yelling or swearing alot it comes out more, i got that from her
-
^^ I see. Cool.
-
Im from NY and I got the NY accent going on.

Northerners talk really LOUD
-
I have a semi-Boston accent but its not to bad. People can tell I'm from the northeast. Its not bad like the stereotypical accent that the movies portray. Some people are really bad up here...Cali people sound normal to me. They seem to have softer voices though and talk more layed back. Southerners just sound retarded.

then whats ur sisters excuse for being so loud when im slamin that ass.

i dunno, tell me if im just being self centered, but to me it seems that california/west coast probably has the least english accent out of anywhere. I mean aside from the slang words we use, I think we all can clearly understand each other and what we say. Like for instance, I am from California, born and raised. Like persay, if i was to have a simple conversation with someone from the rural south, like Alabama, i might have a hard time understanding some of the things he/she says because of their accent. But im almost sure they would be able to understand what I say.
New York accent is crazy. I have a real good friend from Brooklyn, and it was funny as hell to hear him talk at first. but he moved to CA, and kind of adjusted.
-
everybody has an accent.
-
i talked to a cat from Boston when i was in New York and i almost started laughing. now i´ve always hated Boston accent's when i´ve heard it on on tv and whatnot but it was even worse in real life.
