basically u get a client, the software.

then u go to like torrentspy or other sites like that after DL'n the software

then u find the file u want.

you begin Dl'n the file which is split up among multiple clients or mirrors.  It will automatically search for mirrors and grab as many as it can to get all the parts together. then you have the file.

hope that makes some sense

http://www.utorrent.com |Download with uTorrent|
The software.

http://www.torrentspy.com |Search|
Use this site to search for files, download files from this site. Take 1 sec to download.
Then open that file wherever you have it on cpu and the real download will begin.

try this place - http://tinyurl.com/39j5tn
that link should send you to the tutuorial section. They got links galore on that site too. The best site are usually private though.

The ones that I use alot are

Demonoid - really good all round site [http://www.demonoid.com/files/]
BTJunkie - huge torrent search (much better than torrent spy) [http://btjunkie.org]
torrent-finder - Another huge torrent search [http://www.torrent-finder.com]
TVtorrents - amazing for tv (private, so invintation only) [www.tvtorrents.com]
pirate bay - largest tracker is the world [http://thepiratebay.org/]
PureTNA - good porn site [http://puretna.com/]

First of all, just check out the site in my sig. You won't be disapointed with what's to be offered there!

Second of all, DO NOT FUCK WITH TORRENTS. The bad part about them is as you are downloading, you are also uploading that same movie/album/game/etc that you are downloading at the same time. I was caught downloading a movie off a torrent about 3 years or so ago. The movie company alerted my ISP, both of them sent me a letter saying if it wasn't deleted within 72 hours from my hard drive, legal action would be taken.

Stick with private ftp's if you can, as well as http://www.albumhunt.com

Not tryin to shoot down your suggestion on the spot bro, but I'm gonna have to. I've been doing this whole "downloading thing" for a good 10 years and have tried all of those suggestions. Granted, torrents haven't been mainstream with us but for only 5 years or so, but none of those programs/files/etc work. Just tryin to warn ya'll  :-[

i only fuck with torrents for tv eps and games. for tv episodes, eztvefnet.org is the BEST site. hands down. for movies and full albums, IRC is the only way to go.

UTorrent is good, easy to use. I only use it for software, it would still take me yonks to d/l a movie.
