with an answer
basically Dre was pissed at Daz for dissing him. Also, Daz was still under contract with Death Row, and it wasn't until the Up and Smoke tour that Daz begged for forgiveness. Dre never forgave.
-
I wonder if Daz gonna be on Detox.
-
Pretty sure daz made some comments about him producing some tracks and dre taking the credit.
LikE M Dogg said he was also still signed to death row and in the lady of rage interview she pointed out that she wasnt on 2001 because she was still signed to death row and dre didnt wanan deal with them.
-
thx for the info
-
didn't daz try to kill himself because dre was ignoring him?
-
^if true, it was probably when he was on crack...

He did say he felt like killing himself. What the fuck did Daz expect? You diss someone, and you expect them to put you on their album?
-
yeah i heard he jumped off someone's roof

Are you guys fuckin' serious?
The story to my knowledge:
I think we all have read interviews where Daz said he produced on the chronic and doggystyle and was not credited, and very strongly implies Dre stole credit from him and Warren G.
I've never heard Dre comment on it BUT it's painfully clear that that shit got back to Dre by the fact that only Kurupt of the dogg pound duo has worked with Dre since Dre left DR.
Also it should be noted that around this time Daz was beefing with snoop so also there's the association factor. dre always rolls with snoop AND Daz strongly implicitly/indirectly dissed Dre.
Daz shouts out Dre in "Bang" on Game's DA. In a Dogg Pound interview on dubcnn.com(circa 2005 I believe), Daz and Kurupt both say they hope to be on Detox but understand if they will not cause they've done records without him too and meant no offense by it, and will roll with whatever dre wants to do. whether he wants them on the record or not, they roll with dre.
