I just bought the album today as I suggest you all do and I am very happy with it. I tried not to listen to it to much when it leaked so I could save it for now and I am on track 10 right now and there hasnt been one wack track. "Lil Girl Gone" w/ Wayne and Bun-B is a perfect 5/5 track, this is the best album of the year so far. Devin just doesnt know how to make anything but a dope album, he never disappoints, I love the guy no homo.

He definitley has the "booom!" 8)

Devinīs not a crazy lyricist or nothing but he knows how to make superbanging albums.

yeah he isnt a great lyricist but he's wayyy above average and he has a real dope voice. I also love the track with Snoop and Andre3000. "Just Because" is also a awesome song, fuck the whole album bangs!

Damn I'm pissed. I went to Best Buy an hour ago and they didn't have that shit but I bought Stephen Marley's "Mind Control" with 2 bonus tracks

I been hearin alot about this dude. I decided to check his 1st album (appropriate place to start). I'm jus over half way done, and it's bomb. I always liked the appearances he's done (dre's 2001 & "gots to go" off the david banner cd) and thought he was cool. i think after i'm done all his albums he might be 1 of my fav. Im'a buy a devin album if i could find it in stores. He's got 1 dope ass voice

I'm a huge fan of Devin - his last three solos are near-classics to me and the Odd Sqaud album was ahead of its time. So I was pretty excited to cop this last night and rip it for the journey to work this morning.
I'm 10 tracks in and I have to say (no hater) that this album hasn't impressed me. The hooks and production just aren't the same quality as 'The Dude', 'Tryin' Ta Love' or '2 The Xtreme'. So far the only tracks I've enjoyed are 'What A Job' and 'She Used To', both of which are dope. The rest have left me really unimpressed.
Don't get me wrong - I still have seven or eight tracks or whatever to go, and I plan on listening to this for a good week or so before I feel I can give a final view. But my first impression wasn't good.

the boom , like a microphone... lol

OK, well after listening to the second half of the album, it's much better than the first. The metaphor on 'I Can't Wait' is brilliantly done (I thought the track was a little sick at first until I understood where he was going with it), and the line about the chocolates in 'Just Because' actually made me laugh out loud walking along the street.
I still don't think it's on the same level as his first three CDs, but I get the feeling it will be a grower. I have to admit I could have done without 'No Longer Needed' and probably 'Alone' - I'm all for Devin's genuine soul tracks but these were a little underdeveloped to me.
Still, all in all I think I was probably a little harsh in my post above. The guy is an original force in hip-hop and we need more people willing to do that kind of shit, so I'm glad I dropped my Ģ13 for this either way.
