my homie was readin wikipedia and asked me if i had 2 unreleased dre tracks. i'm like damn.. if this exists i must get that. it's probably fake though since i dont think dre did much production for them anyway.

A 1991 EP was released to promote the groups sophomore album. However, by the time Vocally Pimpin was released, it had received mixed reviews. With only a scant few new songs and mostly remixes, the EP did not perform well.

It was during this time Dr, Dre was involved in a messy break up with Eazy E and Ruthless Records, and was (according to Ronin Ro's Have Gun Will Travel) contractually obliged to produce two more songs for the group. Although these songs were recorded, they were never released. It is possible the changing times at the reocrd label were responsible for the average quality of the EP.

I think the OG info comes from Ronin Ro's book,I got to read that. Ronin Ro has been around for years,so I think we can trust this info to be true.
But,yes a link would be nice when contributing 2nd hand info.

how was he around? was hea studio rat? a producer, or what?

i've heard about his book for years but could never get my hands on a copy

Ronin Ro is a Source OG. He had his own column. When he and Allan S Gordon left Source(mid 90's),they FELL OF BAD. They really know their shit, good writers.
+1

out of all my years of fandom, you are the first person to explain who the fuck he is. man it's good to have you here.
