I feel it is it starts of with a cool intro and the features are cool we got that is gay but i feel that album is a perfect summer time album
-
it was very good album but we cant speak of classic now.
-
i don't think it was a classic, i think towards the middle/end it gets amazingly avg./bad
I liked return of the regulator better, and maybe even his latest 1
come to think of it, it may actually be my least fav warren record (not by much tho)

Agreed. I Want It All is too insconsistent. Return of The Regulator was one of my favorite records ever, I thought it was seriously overlooked.
-
i mean i like anything that warren does even midnite hour i was bumpin that shit non-stop
-
Classic ??? GOod joke
-
I wouldn't consider it classic, it's def. his 2nd best, but very underrated

if you were to take off the following tracks it would be classic:
i want it all remix
if we give you a chance
ww ryders
and replaced them with 'GDW remix' it would have been classic.
very near

^ yeah I think you covered nearly all garbage tracks, there are only 3-4 tracks that I skip

its a near classic but they are some inconsistant moments that make it non classic
tho it is his 2nd best album no doubt

Funny how taste differes, I mean I want it all may not be a Classic but besides Regulate it's my favorite Warren G album, I probably even like it more becouse it sounds still so fresh and content wise it's much better...
IMO ROTR isn't even close to IWIA (not even mentioning In the midnight our here), i mean the beat's weren't as funky as on IWIA and most of all Warren's Flow is SO MUCH BETTER on i want it all.
the guest list on ROTR might look better but that's it...the guest on IWIA all came correct...

U don't dig If we give u a chance??? Man i love that song, so smooth, and cool to have Slick Rick on there...and Val Young...man reminds me of the old days...
WWRyders is nuthing special but it fits the album, imo but i think we got that doesn't belong on there
...the album is a personal favorite of mine...that year was so cool, Streetz is amutha, 2001, and I want it all, on of the best pre death row years...
-
^that was great year for music... didnt last meal come out that year also.... or soon after ... cuz that was dope as fuck too
-

-
you're right, i mistook if we give you a chance for one of the ruff ryde tracks
and i agree IWIA>ROTR
1999=SIAM, No Limit Top Dogg, IWIA, 2001
2000=Restless, Tha Last Meal

Restless came out the very end of 2000, so it prolly had a bigger impact in 01

early 2000

for the record, ALL of the criticism that TBCT gets is EXACTLY the same criticisms TLM got
I was just saying the official releases. Tha last meal and restless came out at almost the exact same time.

yea i know homie. Both were pretty good. For some reason, Restless doesn't do much for me. Every1 seems to love it, but it's 1 of my least fav X records
-
restless is a west coast classic for me, the production is just straight west coast, x's flow on the majority of tracks is perfect, the album as a structure is flawless, my fav x album and an album i can play all the wat through bar 1 track

Dre exec producing a record and producing a record are two completely different things. if dre would have produced it all, it would have been solid. X brought it, the producers did not.
kenny parker show: crap-nice concept but just not that entertaining after the first spin
fuckin u right:crap-soopa tried, but nah
double time: crrap-good on paper, but not addictive
front 2 back-crap
and the album goes on like that with the exception of
all the dre tracks, rimz and tirez, sorry i'm away so much, don't approach me, loud and clear, been a long time, get your walk on
these 9 songs^ sick, dre should have produced another 5. and the shit would have been solid. too bad he was too busy getting the wheels in motion for a horrible movie that made him twice as much money as any album he ever worked on

I LOVE WOMD. A real dark album, that was MAD over-looked. BANGIN album man. It's prolly 2nd on my list. I tend to appreciate these under-appreciated dark albums (cube's war & peace vol.1 is another example). I think Man Vs. Machine is a bit better then Restless as well. Full Circle was cool, just feels like the whole "album experience" came & went pretty quickly :-\

yea i got you. I thought Restless had some bangers (perhaps the greatest album in terms of the singles he released - all 3 were classics). Overall I bump 9 tracks on this album, compared to 12 on man vs. machine & 13 on WOMD

wow, i can't believe restless gets so much love. it got trashed on the forum when it came out.did that shit go plat or what?

man thats pretty good considering its a straight west album, he wasnt like tryna branch out to the east with lyrics or the production
-
restless is a classic! best x album ever! and i want it all is pretty good but not a classic.

back to warren g... i felt i want it all was a damn near classic. i agree with what most of yall are saying about some of the inconsistencies. the major one that poked out at me was the ruff ryder collabos. those killed classic status for me. other than that, everything else was hella solid. besides all the great g-funk tracks, it was pimp as fuck to hear el debarge (one of my favorite tracks on the album) and slick with warren. those two always had great collabos. overall, great fuckin album. (the artwork is posted on my wall to this day) ;D
