man i gotta stop smoking this shit! i tried often and failed everytime. i only smoke once or twice a day (mostly hashish but sometime weed) but im tired of being addicted to this shit. anybody else here smoke hashish?

i think i hang with to many weed smokers. thank god i dont know too many crack smokers!! but its hard to throw that shit away. its like breaking up with ya girlfriend. when i dont have nothing to smoke its easy to stop but when theres smoke in my face i need to take a hit.

It isn't physically addictive, so if you are "addicted" then it's either ritualistic or mental. I've found the best way to "chill out" on anything I might be doing too much of like that is to start hitting the Gym. There is just something about busting you ass running and lifting that makes the idea of putting antagonistic substances in your body or doing counter productive activities seem much less appealing.
Another thing you can do is drink green tea. The caffeine will stimulate the beta waves in your brain causing awareness and alertness while the L-Theanine will stimulate alpha waves making you relaxed and focused. So, kind like what you would get from smoking and you can drink it whenever you feel like smoking. Plus you are going to get all the benefits of the antioxidants, which will be good for you.

When I stopped smoking in (at least in excess), I just stopped hanging around the people that smoked. Anytime a blunt is passed to me, I'll hit it, so I won't even have it around me. After that, it became easier to stop buying it.
I bought an 8th about a week ago, and I'm still puffin on it as I type this. But I haven't smoked in months so I have a low tolerance again.

Anyway best of luck with ur goal, and remember, even if u miss weed, if u smoked enough weed in the last month or so...then there should be some weed in ur system in the cells stuck, which u get u slightly high sometimes...but for this u gotta have smoked a good amount in the recent past 8) the point is theres little withdrawal unless u a hardcore stoner

i was stoned more than i was sober for about 3 years up until january, decided i didnt want to live like that anymore.....it took me 3 steps to cut back to a point where im comfortable with how much i blaze
first i broke my bong, which helped me stop hitting bowls by myself whenever i had freetime
then i stopped buying more than 2 or 3 grams at a time....which stopped me from blazin most weekdays because it was too much of a hassle to be drivin over to my dealer's house constantly
then i stopped buyin completely, now ill only smoke if its passed to me on weekends/at a party or if we go to the theatre.....so im down to once or twice a week, which fine for me....i dont see a need to quit completely yet
id tried to go cold turkey before, and found it pretty hard.......people may not get a physical dependancy on it, but for sure there are times you're gonna fiend for it when boredom kicks in. If its gettin passed around im gonna hit it, you just gotta stop puttin yourself in a position where its around to tempt you

well...the thing is if u smoke often, then ur body is used to gettin rid of weed quickly...but if u a moderate to average smoker then u can get a little high the next day after a good night session u know...maybe ull be high at random times during the next 2 days or so...it happens cuz brain is mostly fat and thc is fat soluble and sticky so it stays in the fat and is slowly "burned off" ;D 8)

the only advice i can give u and i speak from experience is the just stop and stop kickin it with the people you used to burn with.i am proof that u can stop smoking weed. i used to burn at least an 1/8 a day

i cant quit weed. been smokin it for 7 years. i quit for 9 months once, then started up again. everyday i tell myself that this is the last day and i wont smoke it tomorrow, only to wake up and smoke. its weird tho, cuz ive been able to quit other "harder" drugs, but cant stop weed for some reason.
