I enjoyed the first Saw movie - I thought it was clever, creepy and, despite some awful acting, really pretty good.
I thought the sequel was easily one of the worst movies I've seen - plot holes so big you could fall into them, REALLY awful acting, no atmosphere and traps that had none of the ingenuity of the first film.
So I wasn't that excited about the third instalment.
But - wow. I thought it was great. I mean, really, genuinely great. I never expected that. It's been a while since a modern horror movie had me so gripped from literally the first scene. It took everything that worked in the first part and got rid of everything that didn't - exactly what should happen if a sequel is worth making. There was atmosphere by the bucketload, the perfect amount of gore, jumps and - get this - real emotion. I never would have expected to become so emotionally involved in a fucking Saw movie! But Amanda's character was fleshed out perfectly and some of the little scenes (such as when Jeff realises his daughter has taken her brother's toy from his room) were very well done touches.
I thought it was the best of the three - by far. If anyone here passed on it after the abortion of a movie that was Part II, it comes highly recommended from me at least.

all three go together very well
-
The concept of the first one wasn't appealing to me at all so I didn't bother seeing the 2nd or 3rd
-
Still need 2 c this 1!
Thought the 1st film was dope, 2nd was 2 predictable cos u knew how it woz gonna run after the 1st, not had chance 2 c the 3rd yet!

I agree...It makes a great trilogy.

The 1st was by far the best!
-
Pt. 3 was kinda boring..the only death I really enjoyed was the black guy getting his wrists/ankles twisted up
-
i almost walked out of pt 3 it was so predictable and stupid
-
Fuck man I hated Saw III, I thought the brain surgery part was so fake looking. I found myself laughing thru parts of it.
Then stupid moments like the guy killing the old man at the end.
Some of it I was just sitting saying WTF!?
I liked the first 2 tho. ;D
-
personally liked the 1st the best just cuz it was more focus on the story than the gore.
"GAME OVER!!!!!" and the doors shut. :-[
still creeps me out
i heard they working on four so i think this is just gonna get really ridiculous. Like the guy should be dead but they come out with a cure or something. Some super human mind BS

Thought the third was ok, its worth seeing.
The first i really enjoyed because i expected it to be a pile of big steaming shit but it was actually very good.

i read something about it on wikipedia, but not sure how truthful it is; if it still interests anybody, here is the link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saw_4
and a little bit more info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0890870/
as for the movie, i think Saw 3 was pretty good, good turns and twist;
Saw 2 was kinda crappy, ending wasn't bad though
and Saw 1 was probably the one i liked the most, mainly because you weren't too sure what to expect

^^Yea, it's true...

saw 3 was absolute trash, i still wish that borat hadnt been packed out so we coulda seen that instead...

Just when I thought Saw 2 sucked really bad - Saw III was one of the worst movies to ever hit the box offices. The first movie was really decent and enjoyable tho, while it's prequel (short movie) was extremely flawed. The highs with the Saw series are high, but the lows are... :grumpy:
-
damn some people analyze the movie more then the movie critiques. They see every lil detail
I thought all three of them were real good.

That's a crazy opinion.

lol, could be - maybe I'm just a bit weird when it comes to this stuff. IMDB rates the prequel to Saw an 8.0 while I thought it was a nice concept really poorly executed. Perhaps my opinion doesn't hold much weight after all ;)
Being a bit weird or deviant is cool tho 8)

I like how they wrap all three together
