this album needs more respect. straight up. it might not be the greatest effort by the dpg camp, however, i think it was overlooked because of anticipation. everyone thought soopa was gonna release this incredibly insane solo album on doggystyle. as we all know, that didn't happen. but, that is the reason why i like bangin west coast so much. it is an independent album, and it is the way that he as an artist wanted it. i love it. the beats, collabos, etc are all on point. great job soopafly.

Props homie.
-
Its a nice album

I know for alot of people the sound quality turned them off. It is hard sometimes to spend your hard earned money on something that sounds unfinished. All that aside, I did pick it up and yeah it is dope. He really updated his sound even though it was recorded 2 years ago. It definitely has some bangin cuts on it
-
Well, I didn't buy it, I listened to it twice and a few tracks aside, it just doesn't grab me. It might do that in the future, as often happens when I have a new album but so far, no. As I said in a few other threads, the production on here was disappointing for me. We all know Soopafly can do better then this.

He can do much better. His production on this was awful compared to some of his other stuff over the last few years. Not worth the money at all.
-
pretty average. Soopa has indeed done alot better behind the boards then this
pretty much all the songs that i'm feelin, was due to the guests :-\
-
ya succaz dont know this album is a classic..maybe in 5yrs ya slow burgers will appreciate it ...freakin awesome album here..soopa just showed his versatility ...the fukas got job security ..i mean jus listen to dat nigga daz nowdays..ha ha ha ha pathetic.....thats one nicca who fell off... ;D
now chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch 8)

it sounds like what really hurts this album is the mastering. maybe if soopa releases it on CDs then it will go through mastering. Dat Whoopty Woop was dope as fuck and I don't want this to disappoint me
-
not feelin it too much, what happened to that Soopafly bass? it's mostly all kicks and claps
I do like "Ready" and "That Way"
he's actually a better rapper than Snoop, Daz, Kurupt
it was an experimental album though so the beats are different I guess, who cares the damn thing didnt even come out anyway, it's not even a release to me

yup
the album sounds cool but

-
the first 5 or 6 tracks are great!
-
The album isnīt perfect, but a few tracks are real dope. I like the sample using in "Crazy"
-
the album was ass...

Yup, agree. This album deserves no appreciation. When I listen to tracks like that new Westurn Union "Cali Grown" I can't believe what I got on "Bangin Westcoast". This album has just too many boring tracks. No hate against Soopafly though, he still is one of my fav producers. His rap flow is vicious sometimes, if y'all know what I mean ;)
-
The track with B-real is fuckin tight. Soopafly had some dope rhymes on this cd. Its average but definately not wack.
-
After finally picking up a mastered copy of this it's a dope album. Definitely alot of older tracks on there but like Dat Whoopty Woop, I am glad it was put together and dropped. That Crazy song is bananas
-
^This came out on CD???

^This came out on CD???
Yeah it did. I picked mine up at Best Buy. But I have seen it at FYE and Virgin stores
-
^Ok thx for the info.

nice

i think this is a tight album ... even if some tracks are wack : wrong move (http://www.ugrap.de/forum/images/smiles/ugly.gif) the turnaround [the beats sounds like a very bad timbo immitation] & talented
out of these tracks soopafly only produced the turnaround ( denaun porter & e-swift did the other ones ) so imo you canīt say he fell off on this album, because the rest of the production is just top notch 8)
the only thing that really makes me sad is that soopa gave the two best beats to toi - she got one solotrack and one "skit" - and doesnīt rap one those tracks

IMO This album is the best thus far in 07.
The internet download version wasn't mastered, but has since been released as Retail, meaning you can purchase the actual cd, which is masterd. So if its the quality that dissappointed you, I suggest to go cop the CD.
Soopa didn't handel all the production. He had a few Denaun Porter, E-swift and even one Battlecat production on this. The rest was Soopa.
As far as it being not the typical Soopa beat, I mean thats what I like about this dude. He aint afraid to be original. He also warned that this wont be your typical West Coast shit. We all know how great of a producer he is, and IMO this proves it, 'cause he is experimental, and it did come off as fresh. So good on him. Lyrics were on point to.
The only fault I have, is that I liked the original worng move track beat better. However he must of had a clearing issue or something, but apart from that this has my '2 thumbs up'. Definately deserves an appreciation thread!
Execellent warm up to Westrn Union! Can't wait for that album.
-
the album is bangin..one of the better releases this year
-
ofcourse it could be better, but overall i think the album is another good solid album.
i'm just happy to get another full soopafly solo LP.
i hope he keeps slangin these albums out thru daz's independant record label regularly instead of an album once every 7 years, lol
-
it's straight, nothing special
-
Tight album. That "Talented" track is crazy!
-
what yall think is better this or digital smoke
cause i wanna buy a album this week & I can't decide between the 2
-
I think soopafly needs the money more
