Snoop dogg should make a doubble disc, one disc straight gangsta shit murder murder.. The other disc straight for the womans and girls with Justin timberlake and Brandy :P
Imagine his sales then :P
-
LMAO
-
I needed a good laugh today :D
-
Tha "Last Meal" should have been his double album. He left of many good songs.
-
to me his albums ARE double albums and that's the problem NLTD, TLM AND TBCT all EASILY have 12 classic tracks on each of them and all 3 albums would be classics if he would trim the fat.

they'd instantly double :o ::)
-
aweful idea...
people complained that Blue Carpet Treatment could have been better if it was shorter. I think 2 disk albums are almost always bad ideas and are done too often.
-
Only 2Pac was able to pull the double disc thing. And that was only once with All Eyez On Me. The other double discs that came out after his death could have been put into one disc.
I don't think Snoop could do a double disc. It would be way too hard to hold someones attention for two albums straight.
-
yea and call the album SNOOP D-O-U-DOUBBLE B-L-E
-
he needs to cut down the amount of songs, or at the very least let somebody else pic which ones make it!
-
detox should be a double album! one cd with the muhfuckas that was on 2001 and the other one with the "new" aftermath.. :o at least theres gonna be 1 classic album for sure!
-

the truth
-
bad idea.. he need to shorten his cds to like 15 songs max... take off the soft shit
-
He should make a DVD with all his live performances. His shows with his band are hella sick
-
snoop has enough problems with quality control on a single disc album let alone a double disc.
-

IMO he has dope soft and hard shit, just take off the whack shit. unless of course by soft shit you mean wack shit.

Bishop interview :
Dubcnn: Did you get Snoop's shit?
I got it. I was happy to hear Snoop rap, but it's not hot like that man. I gotta be honest, I never gonna lie about anything. I got it, I played it, I'm a fan first. Just like I got the Game album, I'm a fan first. It's like, damn! I'm never gonna be a hater, and I listened to it with a fan ear. So even if you did say something sideways about me, or dissed me, I'll still listen to the music, and support it. But I just wasn't excited by what he offered. It had a couple of dope records on it, and overall I was happy to see Damani and Bad Lucc on the record. But other than that, I was really just getting underground albums, or old records. It really wasn't much that I wanted to buy, because the excitement wasn't there.
Snoop for too long has been doing 2+2 equal 4 and freestyling. I used to be at his house everyday, so I use to see this man make records that were incredible, talking on deeper subjects. I mean the dude wore glasses sometimes and walked around with Langston Hughes poetry books. The nigga is smarter than what he appears and acts as. He's got dope ass records that he never released to the public! There was a point where he was really going hard in the paint, and really putting that pen to the tablet, and spitting some real fire. But on this album. it's like... nah! My last favorite Snoop Dogg album is like "Paid The Cost To Be The Boss", really! I'm still a Snoop Dogg fan, and I continue to support him, but that just didn't do it for me.

Well put, man. Couldn't say it any better. The last thing Snoop needs is space for MORE filler.

"R&G" was 'double disc' album -> half of tracks were gangsta, half of were R&B... :P

Real talk.

thanks you guys...man, the more I think about it the more I realized it's not that snoop fell off it's that he pads his records too much.
cause i'm dead seroous when I say TLM, TBCT and NLTD have 12 or so classic tracks on each of 'em. just like doggystyle, roughly 13 classic songs. snoop still does that every album, but he releases like 17-20 track albums with only 12-13 of them being classic and the other 4-8 songs totally fucking up the flow and context of his work.
so it's not even hating on snoop when I say that, he just needs more discretion.

Yeah, that's where he needs someone like Dre who can tell Snoop that this or that song shouldn't make it to the album. I don't think he has too many people around him who can really say that to him...
-
Snoop Dogg should Meet Hercy Buggz and make a Mama's Funk/Doggystyle collabo...this will bring him on top

what it really is is industry standards. the average rap fan walks into the store...do they want to buy 50 cents 20 track album with 2 bonus cuts or do they want snoop's 12 songs? both CDs are 13.99....the average rap fan will buy the 50 album. they don't know that the 12 snoop tracks are all dope versus the maybe 10 dope tracks on the 50 album you know?

It's also that. But I still think that Snoop has a lot of dope leftovers from all of his albums... He just doesn't always know which one is better than the other. Also I think he wants to put a lot of cats on his cd so they can get their names out there and that's how some of the tracks (that maybe sometimes shouldn't) make it to the album. But you are right on point there. Average rap fan would buy the 50 album...
Man I wish I could buy cds for 13.99... Ihave to pay atleast 20 € for the new shit (and some older)... :)

i'm exaggerating. cds are just as often 20 bucks here as they are 13.99
but yeah I see your point. you're right, he DEFINITELY waters his shit down with trying to put people down.

I'd like to hear some of those joints that Bishop was talking about that never were released where Snoop is spitting some deep shit
