Congrats to d-12 I'm not really feeling them but I guess Em helped them sell some records...Jadakiss also was just certified gold...No word on Eastsidaz or Kurupt yet...

i don't think em's best selling days are behind him but i thought that the d12 cd was gonna sell better, i think em sells better on his own, peace.

Some record labels wait FOREVER to claim platinum status. Others claim platinum status before theyre official. NSync was claiming 5X platinum when they technically only sold 2.5 million. D-12 never claimed gold status even though they reached it in 2 weeks. Also-D-12 is probably realistically 2 times platinum by now. Just depends on how important that status is to the label.

i don't think Eminem will ever sell 9 million again...he will def sell 3 million each time though on the strength of his name like Jay-Z or Nas...i didn't like Devil's Night but i thought all the peeps who bought the MMLP would buy this joint... ??? only platinum after such a long time...maybe their next single will boost sales...

I doubt it is close to 2xplat...maybe 1.5 million at best...Look at Xzibit's album which has been out since last December and has sold around 1.7 or so...I mean Em's last album sold 1.7 million it's first week...I think Em's next album will sell though, just not 9 million...

If it was called Eminem & D-12 "Devils Night" it woulda sold at least 3 million...Eminems name wasn't on it, most of the teeny boppers thought Em was only on "Purple Pills" and the rest of the songs are just D12 without Em...

U right. I checked their sales week after week for the first 6-7 weeks and there's no question they are DOUBLE (will soon be OFFICIALLY). Now, every group releasing an album without the name of the leader on the cover will suffer some sales, it's only normal. Ask St Lunatics... Plus MTV didn't promote "Purple Pills" on TRL and shit and we know lil white chicks (the ones buying the most records, no question) ONLY check TRL... Then again, "Purple" wasn't even a good choice for a 1st single but anyway... EMINEM, when he drops his 3rd major album, will sell a whole gang of records again, maybe not 9 mil, but a whole lot, like 5 mil. Why? Coz he didn't "rush" like Jigga does. He let cats who don't even know who D12 is forget about him so when he comes back solo, it's on... Plus he's the biggest shit on Interscope/Aftermath and will have executive production from DRE. So they really will PUSH the next CD, believe it. Plus, D12 waited so fuckin' long to drop the 2nd single, i guess it fucked their hype up. But the video's hot and it should definitely help boost sales. Finally, the album was HOT, stop hatin'... Bizarre's wack but the album was bangin... Not classic but DOPE. Fo' real...

As for the D-12 album. That purpil hills single really turned me off on the album. It was too annoying and with all the eminem threads I was really annoyed by him. So I didn't buy it. I'll buy it this weekend cause I think it deserves a listen..

Em has nothing to prove by selling 5x or 9x platinum.......anything Platinum plus is good.......
D-12 came out...solid on their own.....its good Em name wasnt on the cover of the CD, Em had his time to shine..now its time for him to help out his boyz.........
D-12 is still touring...holiday season is coming up..........and most rappers..and other hip hop artist...would love to go platinum.........
Not really fair to measure D12 to Em's record sales.
For Dre Not having too much input into this album...and for it being Em;s first Record he Executive Produce...i tip my hat to him.......hopefully...they bring someone else from detroit up and give them fame.........

Sounds like an old would-be-Jigga album with a zillion guests (like Hard Knock Life but in worse). Can't come close to Blueprint for example...

Yeah I agree. It seems like many artist try to use the same formulas to get rich that jay and big have used. It's crazy.
Anyway in philly, people think jay-z, jada, beans, oschino, freeway, the young guns (chris and neef), and fabolous are god. Obviously I don't feel the same way. Shit buggs me for real.
