Title: Kurupt question
Post by: Tanjential on April 16, 2007, 01:27:18 AM
so I know in 05 the DP reunited...but on the DR side of things...why did Kurupt leave DR again? or did he even leave? I just saw a post in which someone said Kurupt is working on a record for them called 'back in lane'

I think he left cos he re-united with Daz. I remember it was the same time they released Against the Grain and they were advertising against people buying it. lol

how could Kurupt possibly have made the album ina  way they didn't want? doesn't that shit hit all kinds of editors and dsitributors, exec producers etc. before it gets released? what a ghetto ass label they've become, can't handle any kind of business right for shit.

it's their first and only original release from a live solo artist in almost 10 years and they can't even get it together, more concerned with gangster shit than business.

The Originals was this group Kurupt created with Keitarock and CJ. It was easily one of the worst albums I have ever heard. I Didn't Change was dope and maybe 1 or 2 more and that's it.

I don't remember right off the top, but I would have to invest in some cotton swabs to stop the bleeding to listen and find the ones I did like. Sir Jinx did one Bangin My Amps I think. That one was cool and maybe 1 more and that is it for me.

Wow, you are a Kurupt hater. The Originals wasn't the worst album of the year, I really dug the production on the album, it had an old school favor to it. I don't think it left my CD player for weeks.

Original, Final Testament, We Bang, I Didn't Change, Californya Anterazh, Bang'n My Amps are all fire.

How I'm I a hater? I am one of many Kurupt fans on this board. I like the production but Kurupt's lyrics on the majority of this record are weak at best. And that California Anterazh is dope but is a YA track. So still going by your list that is 5 at best of of the whole album and for me even some of those were not Kurupt at his best.

I might be able to get those for you. Either way if he was talking to me or not, I paid my hard earned money on that Originals and it did not cut it for me.

Well your intitled to your opinion thats what these boards are all about, I didn't mean to come off has talking shit, I'm just throwing in my two cent like yourself. And has for the 5 tracks I listed thoses are just my favorites, I really think that The Originals is a bangin album from begining to end. But that is just me, I know most people here would disagree.

You just threw me off when you said the hater part. Either way I respect your opinion but for me excluding a few tracks, Kurupt could and has come way tighter than that.
