Today I was listening to ATLiens and I think everybody has been sleepin' on this one because I think it's one of OutKast's best albums, but I didn't see any topics on it yet. I know you hip hop heads are feelin' me on this one and if you like fish and grits and all that pimp shit, then everybody say O YAYER!!!

i think everyone considers this album CLASSIC...well all the first 3 Outkast albums are considered CLASSIC...Stankonia is debatable by some peeps...anyways so i don't think anyone has slept on ATLiens...

No doudt we love that album. Extremely artistic, a whole story from beginning to end. Wheels Of Steel and ET are my favorites.

But I have heard it twice before and that shit is amazing.
Stankonia is a classic in my opinion but it is debatable. It was definitely the best album of 2000.

ATliens is dopeas hell...i think it just gets overlooked sometimes because of the untouchable undebatable classicness of Aquemini....im a huge outkast fan...any group with 4 classic albums rocks my world.

(4) Stankonia
The group doesn't follow trends, so you'll come to expect something different from them on their albums.

Most people(perhaps correctly)rate Aquemini as the best OTK album, but I'm far more for the ATLiens group...Babylon, ATLiens itself, E.T., Elevators...Wheelz of Steel, Two Dope Boyz In A Cadillac...Every track's a classic, just like Aquem...
Stankonia's far more experimental than even ATLiens, it branches out much more...It's kinda a show of Ant adapting even more to Andre's eclectiveness...So, you know, it's all good, though I know some peeps were disappointed by it.
Being in the studio during it's recording time, however, either gives me perspective or bias, I dunno. Personally, I go on and off the album all the time, as it's very emotive in parts, and sometimes people don't like emotive-Toilet Tisha either gets really on my nerves, or I like it better than any other OTK song, ya know?
In one way, it also showed they're branching out of the South...I mean, Cee-Lo and shit are still around and on the album, but so's B-Real, and good ole Erykah makes an appearance.
So, nope, we don't sleep on ATLiens, it's just most of the peeps here are Wessyde-oriented, so it don't really cross they minds.

Please note that I used the term 'sleep on it' loosely. I think this is a great board and in my heart, I am a west coast gurl 'cause for me that's where it all started.

When there's been threads made on Classic LPs, Dope groups etc Outkast pop up without hesitation all tha time. so chill ;) Like I said, they get alot of love up in here ;D

ATLiens is too amazing for words. All 4 of Outkast's albums are classic in my opinion, but ATLiens is their opus, one of my fav albums ever along with E.1999 Eternal, All Eyez On Me, 36 Chambers, Moment Of Truth, Illmatic, The Chronic, and Ready To Die.

They Gotta Be The Most Artistic Hiphop Group Out Right Now, That's Straight Class, Right There. They Deserve As Much respect As Anybody In The Industry, Matter Of Fact, I think I'd Probably Fight for Them, LOL.

outkast will always be tight.. and always has been.. their shit is always dope.. always got the cool sound to it.. all of their albums are worth to buy 4 sure... i alwasy look foward to their music

any yall ever seen outkast in concert ? Dayum aint nothin like it . as much as i love the westcoast scene ....... i dont think anybody can rock a show like outkast ......... except for the up in smoke tour of course.

Love the first joint, love Aquemini, love Stankonia but ATLIENS is my favorite, no question. It's ridiculous...
