Congrats to them, they beat Portland and will play Dallas in the first round. I like this team, especially with Jackson and Harrington playin. They match up better with Dallas than almost anyone else, and even though they probably won't win, they will tire out Dallas bad in the 1st round.
-
It's about time they did. They now pass the torch to the Atlanta Hawks.
-
I like Atlanta's team too, funny u mention that. Smith, Marvin Williams, they need center and a point guard next year though. 08-09 is all about the Bobcats 8)
-
A point guard? Ummm, Joe Johnson...LOL.
Hope the Warriors wear the Mavs down nicely for the Lakers. ;D
-
Atlanta could use somebody like Ridnour, I like Joe Johnson alot, but he can be selfish, I wouldn't want him to run the point. Rather have him on the wings as a shooter/slasher.
-
The Warriors always give the Mavs trouble so this should be interesting. Its just nice to see Baron Davis still healthy and leading his team into the playoffs.

No shit Sherlock, but not as a point guard. Johnson is better on the wings, he could run point for Atlanta, but you can expect another 30 win season. Johnson and the Hawks would be best served with a good point guard, who can get Johnson, and Josh Smith the ball.
-
I was supporting them in the race.
-
Annoying opponent for an 8th seed. Of course there is no chance for them beating the Mavs, but anything other than a sweep is annoying in the first round.
-
good to see another Cali team reppin.

Everyone is better than Ridnour as a point guard.

Fortunately, you didn't watch the Sonics this year. Earl Watson > Luke Ridnour.

Watson played better in short stretches for Seattle, unless your just trying to be a dick, youd know and admit that Ridnour is an all around better point guard. Next year will be the year he proves it, unless he stays in Seattle. You don't know what youre talking about youngn.

Actually, it seems like you don't know what you're talking about, "Reefer Alston"...Luke Ridnour had a bust of a year. If he can come back next year and redeem himself, more power to him. But until then, he'll stay mediocre in my eyes...PeACe

He had weak stretches last season, but Seattle's team as a whole didn't work out. I know your only talking shit too make yourself look good, but Ridnour is still more skilled at the point than Joe Johnson ever will be. I bet you get picked on like a muthafucka huh?

Get picked on like a muthafucka? How the hell do you you relate that to a baketball discussion? Is there something you're hiding, reefer? Stop getting all emotional, bitch. Seattle sucked, but Ridnour was the worst. Wilcox had a good season, Lewis had a good season, Collison had a good season...Ridnour had a flop of a season. Like I said, if he redeems himself next year, then I'll change my opinion. But for fucks sake, stop your whining...PeACe

Youre a kid, Ridnour is not the worst PG in the league, I'd take him over Smush or Farmar anyday.

You sound like a moron. "you're a kid". WTF kinda argument is that? I'm older than a good portion of players in the league. Your inferiority complex is evident in every post. Stick to the topic, Luke Ridnour sucks. Smush had a better year than him, and that's not saying much. While Ridnour has shown a great deal of inconsistancy, Farmar is developing quickly, taking the starting role as a rookie under PHIL JACKSON. Now THAT is saying something. Luke Ridnour is obviously not the worst point guard out there, but it would simply be idiotic to want him as your starting 1 over Joe Johnson. Now stop getting hurt...PeACe

Not suprised to see you dickriding LA. Did you see how Phoenix toyed with them today? Smush and Farmar are weak. Parker needs to lose his nigga attitude and Farmar just needs to get better. Smush did not have a better year than Ridnour, talk about inconsistency. And you already said Ridnour was the worst ( "everyone's better than Ridnour" ), now you retract your statement. So u say shit just to say it. Anybody who would pick Joe Johnson as a starting point guard doesn't know basketball. Youd really want a guy who left a winner for big bucks to run the point. Whats he point of you telling me how old you are. You could be in your 30's, you have a child mentality is all I'm saying. You don't know basketball kid, stick to dickriding the Lakers, and enjoy there final 2 weeks of the season.

Phoenix toyed with them? LMAO. And you claim to know basketball? Lakers were leading for 95% of the game, Suns made a run at the very end. That's not even close to "toying". Jordan Farmar is doing great for a rookie (especially under Phil). Smush isn't playing good, I admit, but he's still had a better season than Luke fiznuckin' Ridnour. I didn't literally mean EVERY SINGLE PLAYER is a better point guard than Luke Ridnour, that was BLATANTLY an exaggeration. My main point was that he's weak, and that's a very valid opinion, so I dunno what you're getting so hurt about. I like this roster for Atlanta:
PG Joe Johnson...Tyrone Lue/Speedy Claxton
SG Josh Childress...Salim Stoudemire/Royal Ivey
SF Josh Smith...Solomon Jones/Draft Pick?
PF Marvin Williams...Shelden Williams/Slava Medvedenko
C Zaza Pachulia...Lorenzen Wright/Esteban Batista
-
I'm tellling you man, Johnson would not be a reliable point guard, Childress can score and rebound, but still isn't at a starter level imo. Johnson will put up numbers if he starts at the point, but his team wouldn't be any better for it. I think Ridnour would be a good set up man for Johnson and Joe Smith ( who gonna become an ever better low post player next year if he stays in Atl ). Granted Ridnour couldn't help Seattle's train wreck of a season but he really wasn't the problem. He was inconsitent at times, but so were Watson, Collison, Wilcox and more importantly Lewis. Lewis and Ray Allen also got hurt this season too.
-
By the way, the Warriors are doing there thing right now! Being on the East, I don't get to see them play hardly ever. They do everything wrong on offense lol. but they make those shots. Fun as hell to watch, they gonna win this game too 8)
-
I just think they'd win way more games with Joe Johnson. Josh Childress > Luke Ridnour...Ridnour isn't even a fantasy worthy player. Ridnour was benched on more than several occasions for Earl Watson...PeACe
-
baron davis playin the best ball of his life. That would be crazy if warriors end up knocking out dallas, lakers knocking out the suns and denver knocking out the spurs. lol that would be different but I doubt it will happen. Denver I think has the best chance out of those 3 underdogs to make it to the next round.
-
OH MY GODNESS BARON DAVIS WAS ON FIRE!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o
-
I always thought they had major talent every since I saw their roster after the Pacers trade. Then they do have Don Nelson there. They were really just sleepers or even underachievers for the entire season.
-
Well...They were the hottest team in the league for the past 2 months.
-
the Warriors has easily an advantage on two match-ups with their small lineup.. nobody can guard Baron and Dampier on Harrington :-X.. problem is Warriors like to play the game at a fast pace and Dallas slowing it down isn't efficient coz they haven't an impact player down low..

Well said, not to many teams can hang with that style of play. And Harrington at the 5 spot is a brilliant move against Dallas, only thing is Dallas was beasting on the boards early on. Warriors defense wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, plus they do have some considerable playoff experience. B-Diddy went ape shit too, making 3's he should not have 8)
Like I said, I never get to see Warriors games, and I'm really impressed that they are able to play this way, and still beat the 6th best team in NBA history. If they can do it 3 more times, then well really have something 2 talk about.
-
I'll be at the W's game in oakland fri night. GSW hoops its a great time out lol
-
The Warriors will give the Mavericks a good run for their money. This series could go six of seven games before it's done.
-
^^ cutthoat if we can somehow pull out a win 2nite in dallas this series could be over a lot quicker than a lot of people expected
-
I'm still supporting the Warriors. :cow:
-
we takin this shit again tonight. we gonna make devin harris cry twice in 2 games. 8)
