Vince Carter
better than AI?
Iverson is more of a point guard anyways...If you have Iverson, you might as well put Isiah Thomas.
-
Vince Carter
better than AI?
I put more old school style, traditional shooting guards, and I think Vince would pass if he was in the 70's, ABA type playground game over AI. I know AI is a throwback as well, but AI is more of a point guard, and I had to put a great shooting guard over a great point guard who played shooting guard.
-
I don't really think Vince deserves to be on the list either way...

lol @ "no bias" after the last poll.

lol @ "no bias" after the last poll.
What was bias about the last poll? Seriously, don't speak if you don't know...Elgin Baylor is one of the greatest players ever, and easily comparable to Larry Bird (lucky for Bird)...PeACe
-
Nobody is denying his greatness... and I'm not the only who noticed the random votes, without posting who they're voting for, in his favor everytime the poll got close/tied (multiple accounts used perhaps?)... let's just give it to Kobe and Magic now.
LOL @ "don't speak if you don't know"... slow your roll Al Michaels... we all know you are the official basketball analyst on dubcc and your opinion is more valid than anyone else's, but I didn't even say anything about either player.

You were talking about how the last poll was bias, weren't you? How is it bias for Baylor to win by 1 when they're on the same level?...People voted without posting in every poll, even the one Karl Malone won over Elgin Baylor, what does that have to do with anything? It's obvious that not everyone is gunna post who they're voting for. Check every poll in WCC history, it's always been like that. In fact, Elgin was leading comfortably most the way, and Bird's votes were the ones that shot up...LOL@your conspiracy theories regarding DUBCC's GOAT competitions.
-
BTW...There was 3 people who said Elgin in the thread and 3 people who said Bird, so I don't really see what you're complaining about.

1. No, in fact Elgin was not leading comfortably most the way.
2. LOL @ you not knowing the definition of a conspiracy theory. I never said that the Laker cheerleaders conspired to have it this way.
3. I wasn't complaining...I could really care less, and actually find it funny... all I said is "lol @ no bias"... no need to get all defensive, I didn't specify that you're the one who used some of your accounts to make those votes.
-
Can we put number 8 Kobe and number 24 Kobe?
Why does AI count? He's a PG. If you're going to label him as a SG just cuz he takes a lot of shots then Arenas is a shooting guard too.

Wrong again. Elgin was up 5-3 at one point, then Bird got 3 straight votes. I doubt someone would actually wanna disrupt the true GOAT on here. More people just think Elgin is better...Face it, it's not unreasonable, it was a close race in the end. Elgin was better statwise as well...PeACe

He's more of a shooting guard then a point guard.
Jordan wins this by a landslide.

1. allen iverson over his career has played serious minutes and a majority of seasons playing predominantly the SHOOTING guard position, his natural size is that of a point guard, but this is what larry brown used to exploit mismatches with him. he could be put down as both positions but he doesn't crack a top 10 PG poll, imo , however he cracks a top 10 shooting guard poll.
2. gilbert arenas a shooting guard, you can make an argument for that actually seeing how he can and does flow out into that position every once in a while, but most of the time he's running the point and instead of distributing it he just throws up shots. but it's more logical to call iverson a 2 than arenas seeing how he played that position a hell of a lot more.
3. the last poll wasn't bias at all.....at least from my part. i actually voted for larry bird. but i closed it in a normal timely fashion that actually had elgin baylor as the winner. what was the final vote? 10-9?? there's no way you can say that was bias.....8 other people excluding me voted for Bird. that's ALMOST half. just like every other controvesial poll, i've closed it in an appropriate time.....regardless of MY Bias.
4. if you want to stop the laker sweep in basketball , maybe you should promote more. afterall this is a message board.....everything is open for discussion and persuasion.

Iverson has always been a PG. He may have been listen in the SG slot because of the 5 man format, but he wasn't a SG. Philly had 2 point guards, 1 traditional (Snow) and one scorer (A.I.) much like Denver has now with Blake and A.I.

^ exactly AI wasn't running the point and distributing the ball, eric sno was, iverson was the shooting guard

-
no not final i want at least 1 or two more votes.....at least someone to break the tie.
-
So how are people voting for Iverson over Oscar Robertson? Robertson was way more of a shooting guard then Iverson was. Robertson even played small forward for a while in his career.
-
can someone break the tie at 10 please!?
-
can someone break the tie at 10 please!?
To break the tie for #10, add a vote on my behalf to Iverson.
To break the tie for #1, add a vote to Jordan.
