I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed how EVERY SINGLE PLAYER on the Phoenix Suns blatantly flops. Does anyone think this is part of what Mike D'Antonio teaches in practice or do you think it's a coincidence? I'm thinking this is a primary part of their defense... Because they really do get a lot of calls on flops alone...So what do you think?
-
So no one has an opinion on why the Suns flop?
-
Probably because they get the calls. Vlade Divac is one of the greatest of all time when it came to flopping. Laimbeer too.
-
everyone in the NBA flops too much
-
They flop because they're a bunch of fagots. D'Antonio could suck a dick with aids on the tip.

Classic Beanie Sigel line. :o ;D
Blame the league.
-
Yeah that's their "defense". I hate flopping tho. I really hope the league approves that new rule that would give a technical foul to players who flop.
-
if its in the game its in the game.FUckem and feed them cold sardines.Lakers for life bitches. 8)

Yo who the fuck is Mike D'Antonio? I've heard of Mike D'Antoni, but not this cat that you're always talking about. You obviously don't even watch basketball.
-
^^It's instinct for me to spell "Antoni" with and O...Why cant you answer the question though?

How could I have answered the question when I didn't know who you were talking about?
But now that I do, I'd say sure. It's indirectly encouraged by the league. Everybody in the NBA flops including the Lakers.

True, but there are certain teams that do it more than others. Which raises the question do coaches encourage/teach their team to do it.

If refs are gonna fall for it then a coach would be remiss if he didn't exploit any advantage he could get.
-
^ Do you think that it's fuckin' pussy, and bad for the game?
-
if you dont think ALL coaches encourage flopping your crazy...its been done for years and unless the refs/league start recognizing it as lame then it will continue.
-

Absolutely. I think it's one of the things that hurts the NBA very badly. Fouls are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to subjective anyway. Refs can decide the outcome of a game.
-
i don't watch or play basketball much but what is flopping?
-

I doubt a classy coach like Phil Jackson would encourage flopping...Maybe encourage his players to take the charge, but flopping is a whole different thing.
-

Pretending to get hit and falling down to draw a foul.

That shit is wack as fuck!

your right there is a difference between flopping and taking the charge...however if the call goes your way you dont complain, and i dont see any coach gettin onto a player for flopping.

Son, everybody, everyteam in the league practices the flop. Don't think that LA doesn't either. As deciving as is it, a good flop is not so simple to pull, and refs DO catch it alot, and don't make the call. BTW I didn't see this excuse on Tommy's list ;D

Grandson, if you think every coach teaches his players to flop, you are INSANE.
-
Flopping = Incapacity to defend most of the time.. if you know you can keep it up physical wise (no homo) with the opponent who back you up, you're not gonna flop

true, but a player with limited defense capabilities will resort to the flop as strategy. the coaches know who can defend and who cant and in turn will "suggest" a flop as a bailout.

I can't believe Phoenix has 3 first rounnd draft picks, including Atlanta's pick.
-
LMFAO tell me you guys saw Vujacic take one of the lamest flops ever recorded in the game yesterday? I bet Phil taught him.
-
I should hope so; all coaches do, have you played bball man? Its sad but its just the way it is. This is the playoffs, whatever it takes to win you do. End of story

And they most likely will trade those picks.....Again.

Maybe the lower 2 picks but that Atlanta pick has a good chance of being a lottery pick.
-
And the Mavs screwed so many 1st round picks for Dampier who's not even playing right now >:(

yeah the Suns will have it if Atlanta hasn't one of the 1st 3 picks

How can that be funny after watching Raja Bell play?

Yes, I played...Same dude who coached Jordan Farmar coached me as well.. and my coaches always highly discouraged bitch-made behavoir, such as flopping, especially cuz the offense can easily take advantage of that. Now, like I said, taking the charge is a completely different thing, but I never seen a coach openly encourage flopping...PeACe
