to me for this album to live up to full expectations of the name dr. dre has to have a huge contribution, everyone knows if dre produced the whole thing it would be a classic but to me he has to at least contibute half the tracks and then let the dogghouse poducers handle the rest for it to be more successfull than the last meal, but dre has to do more than just 3 or 4 tracks!
-
I don't think this album will be classic for many reasons...First off no matter how much Snoop dikryders deny it Snoop has fallen off...He no longer has the capacity to make a classic album...Second off all there is no way Dre has the time to oversee a whole project by Snoop(who isn't even on Dre's label)...And third Snoop just doesn't have the hunger to put out classic shit, he's making money by doing other things having his own label, doing movies and all that good stuff...

*Cough*Hata*Cough*
-
Snoops fallen off, eh? Then why are both the Last Meal and Duces and Trays fucking dope as hell?
-
If Dre produced this whole album it would be either a classic or as close as u can get to a classic, Dre brings out tha best in snoop, but for all those that say snoop is still as good as he once was, ur wrong, snoop has changed but no1 can quite put there finger on what snoop has changed
-
yo i still think Snoop can put out a classic album... as long as he has the right production and can try and get the intensity in his voice like he has done a bit better lately... then i think he can easily do it...
Peace

Snoop has changed..okay fine. He is damned nearly 30 now and no longer in his lower 20's. Thats a drastic change in someones life. And with that change his music has changed. I personally am loving his current music as much as I loved his past music. Its a matter of preference. Snoops music has changed--thats true, but saying Snoop has fallen off is strictly opinion--and you can have that opinion-- but dont be parading around like its the truth.

yeah snoop ain't what he once was but he is still better than most and if he has the right production and really foccused on the energy on it then it could be a classic. but like i first said if dre can find time to do about half the songs or at least around 8 it would have a good chance!
-
i agree with alot of what dpgc 2001 said ....it's not becuase snoop fell off though, it's just lack of enthusiasm that only dre brings out in him , the only way snoop can put out a classic anymore is if dre mixes or produces the whole album which may seem unlikely but we don't know what the future holds or how long it'll be before snoop puts out another solo joint...i'm not hating on snoop at all but the reality is he's not motivated anymore :-/ and the only way to regain that motivation is to work with some harsh/good producers that'll whip snoop in place 8)
quincy jones and Dr. Dre are the only 2 that'd do that for snoop right now...and maybe Automator and Alchemist

*Cough* ^^Damn right Jake^^ *Cough*

who liked Snoop on Stacy Adams?Snoop with Battlecat.Mad tight.
-
Fa sho, Stacey Adams is an orgasm.
But yo, dont be too eager to hear classic shit. Snoop may smoke another ton of weed and change the name to Dogg Sinatra or Doggy Forever or Rollin Doggies or whatever the fuck else. And let Jelly Roll produce the whole shit. And again no Daz. And again shitloads of Kokane farting on tracks. And again Butch instaed of Nate. And again Suga Free with his clitoris diction. And again no mentioning 213. That's the life, people. To make classics yoyu should start from a white sheet of paper, not reuse the old ones.

Damn .I didnt know there wuz soooooo many Snoop hatas on this board.
If you dont like his shit, dont discuss it.
HATAS!!!
-
First off I'd like to say I'm not a Snoop hata infact he's my favorite rapper...I'm just stating my opinion...It's very hard for even a rapper who is on top of his game to make a classic record...The Blueprint ain't classic no matter how many people make it out to be although it's a very dope 4.5 mics...Eminem, Canibus, Ras Kass are 3 of the top MC's of today and have never made classic albums although Eminem has come close IMO...Snoop already has a classic debut under his belt and had a big hand in another(The Chronic)...

"Calling me a hater cuz i dont ride dick" - Xzibit
why does it have to be either/or with you guys. Snoop is one of my favorites, im a big supporter, but i can say if i dont feel his shit sometimes, and i can say who i think he sounds best with on production. why is that such a problem for some of you?
go *cough* to that

LMAO. this is a funny thread ;D
-
*Cough*You'llStillBuyItLikeISaid*Cough*
True, but i can have an opinion right? i didnt say i wouldnt cop it if it wasnt all-Dre produced. like i said, im a snoop supporter.
oh yea, *cough*.
lmao
-
Yeah, I'm Just Clownin' Everybody That's Sayin' It Won't Be Classic, Because They'll Still Buy It, Haha. As Long As They Do That, Why Would Snoop Even Make A Classic Album? Sells The Same 8)
I'm Starting To Think Record Sales Have Nothing To Do With Quality.
-
yea for rizzle dizzle i respizzle your opinionizzle for shizzle.
thats snoops new song by the way. its called *Cough*
hehehehe
-
Snoop & Dre together r the perfect combo. Whenever I hear a Snoop/Dre collabo I get the feelin' that they have put all they can into the production of that record, there's jus' 2 many examples 2 list but y'all know what I mean. In all honesty I doubt Dre will produce a full LP 4 Snoop but I think he'd happily produce/mix a majority of it.
-
yeah it is a funny topic

Speakin of Snoop Dogg, a few days ago in Atlanta, Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz recorded a song for Snoop's new album produced by Jazzy Pha, who also produced Nate & Ludacris' Area Codes. Jon performed the hook to the song that also features Artist Fiend and will most likely include Ludacris. This song will be on the new Snoop Dogg album.

i havent heard eastside boys and lil john, are they tight???
-
"I like Dem Hoes with the piercing in they tongues/That be dem hoez that suck dick and swallow cum" LoL...
They aight...
-
yeah mostly everyone heard tha sng "bia bi" already
but about snoop
i dont hes gonna be havingdre produce the whole thing like he did on doggystyle.. it'd be tight tho.. i'm hoping so but this i would be very close to a classic or a classic.. cuz its dre and snoop and they need to work liek they did before.. and include the same kind of people that they did in doggystyle lke daz, rage, kurupt, nate dogg... just u kno narrow it down and dont work with too many artists and a very tight album should come out.. thas how i seeit
