I have the majority of snoop's records, & I always consider getting R&G but then change my mind, I was jus wondering what yall reckon is it dope enough to purchase?
yeah I ended up buying the album, I like it, its like a whole different type snoop record but I'm diggin' it. I love control ya hoe haha and despite tha fact the majority seem to dislike SIGNS Im actually feelin that track too. The whole album has a dope chillin wit a bitch vibe to it haha, oh and that track with 50 suprised the hell out of me shit was dope as fuck.
-
nah not good enough to spend money on

Depends on what kind of style you like from Snoop. If you like the songs he made with Pharrell on Paid The Cost I would say yes. If you are more into his gangsta rap stuff, no. Burn it first and listen to it. I personally liked it, but it took me a while to get into it.
-
fuck no!
-
shit is wack as hell
-
there was some good tunes on there

I'm the same as you.. I have all of Snoop cd's.. for real... I've been such a Snoop fan all my life, I even bump "The Game Is To Be Sold" allbum he did with No Limiit.
But since he's been messing with Neptunes, I ain't been feeling any of his stuff, and both the album he worked with them are the two albums I don't consider to be worth buying or even downloading.
-
Save your money man.
-
Bah, you guys are crazy. R&G is just like all of Snoop's other albums (with the exception of Doggystyle), about half of it is good, half not so good. There are some great songs on R&G, specifically the first half.

Just a few minor points:
- Snoop has worked with The Neptunes on 3 albums, not 2.
- Just because a few tracks are produced by The Neptunes (except on R&G,where the majority are) doesn't mean you can't like the rest of the album.
-
This is just like any other Snoop album, some wack songs, some good songs. It's not totally wack or totally great. There are some real dope songs on the album. It's a million times better than Paid Tha Cost.
-
I got to say that this album is dope no matter what everybody say...
First when I read the credits when the album came out i was a little bit shocked to see that one track is with justin but i even like "signs" it's dope because it don't sound like a justin song with a little snoop on it..No, it sounds like a funky snoop dogg song with charlie wilson and a little bit of that boy justin on the chorus that i could ignore if i don't want hear his duckvoice...
i like all of the tracks espacially:
the intro
Bang Out
The Bidness
Ups & Downs
Fresh Pair Of Panties On
No Thang On Me
Can I Get A Flicc Wit You
Let's Get Blown
Fuck, I like all of them...the only tracks that i don't really feel on this album is "step yo game up" & maby "girl like you"...
the rest is the shit...it doesn't sound like pop or something it sounds funky, fresh & souly...and sometimes gangsta..but a real laid back vibration
-
I really liked paid tha cost to be tha boss, so if I liked that yall think I will like this?
-
Why does everyone hate Paid tha Cost so much? I like it alot. From Tha Chuuuch To Da Palace... you guys don't think this song is hard? Pimp Slapped? I don't like beautiful, but thats about it. Overall, I thought it was one of his more cohesive albums.
-
I wouldn't download it given the chance. And that goes for any Snoop album since Last Meal.
-
For someone who has bought every SNOOP album since he came into the game, i can tell you this is a good not great purchase...see if you can get it used for sure..he has a lot of chill tracks that are cool to smoke to or fuck bitches too...just like every Snoop album. That's a Snoop cd!! and he is at his best with Skateboard P with " Let's Get Blown"
-
It's definitely not one of his best albums but see he was trying to do something different then normal with this album and I think he did great. It's a decent album and with tracks like "Bang Out", "Let's Get Blown", "Ups & Downs" Etc.. it has some dope tracks.
I would say buy it.. if your skeptical as your name says.. download it and check it out.. too me it's worth buying especially if you've bought every other Snoop album in the past.. shit why not add that one to your collection?
-
fuck no!
-
I brought it, it sounds alright so far. I think its an album that will grow on me after a few spins.
-
I think it's Snoops worst LP
-
I have all of Snoop's albums I purchase them soon as they come out, I say it you have all his other albums this is worth a purchase to add to the collection because it does have some dope tracks my favorite being "Da Bidness" where Snoop is spitting like old times, but if you are just a casual fan probably not
-
Oh No was crazy, along with Da Bidness and for some reason the track I always dig off that album is Can You Control Ya Hoe. That beat by LT Hutton was sick. The singing on it was funny as hell.

Da Bidness is too dope maybe my favorite Snoop track in the last 5 years, and Snoop should work with LT more often I think
-
There's only 5 Neptunes beats on R&G, and IMO 4 of them are hot - 'Signs' is a bad representation of what Snoop and Pharrell can do together.
I think Snoop and The Neptunes make a good team (I'm in the minority here lol).
The 50 Cent track is actually quite good and so is Ups and Downs.
In fact, despite all the expectation around TBCT, R&G is almost as good.
-
The wackest snoop's album... 2/5

Co-Sign.That track has been leaked 4 month ago on the Welcome To Tha Chuuch 8... sad for the real snoop fans

-
