They asked them why they are doing this record, and they said they're doing it for the money. Then it went silent for a couple of seconds, then AMG said to fix hip hop. Umm not much else was said, they pretty much say the same things in the past couple of interviews. AMG wrote part of DJ Quik's verse on Can U Werk Wit That, he also wrote the line "It's Quik baby, I done dropped the DJ." They said they did the Can U Werk With That Remix last night with Jim Jones jumpin on it. They're still on right now, and you can catch the replay tomorrow morning at like 5:30 AM if you want to, but nothing special.

I am recording the audio right now I will edit(The Commercials) and up it when it finishes it.

Like I said before, I knew AMG was behind all this.
-
/\ It wasn't hard to figure out AMG was the man behind this concept
But shit, by all means...I hope they get their cash.

this song is tite ... i don't know why everybody keeps hatin' on it & on the fixxers ... this beat killz "laffy taffy" ... not even in comparision ... and unlike d4l the fixxers can rap ... last nite i was bumpin' this on 2 15's and it was hittin', this will definitely bump in the club & the trunk ... dj quik is a legend homie ... been in the game 16 yearz ... just stop hatin' and support our west coast representaz !!
-
I won't support this music cause I don't like this music. Period. Why should I support shit I don't like?
When Quik goes back to dope shit (and I hope this whole Fixxers concept is dope and this one track is just an exception as Fandango was on Trauma), I will support him to the fullest like I've been doing with ALL his albums.
But, right now, I stay skeptical.
-
I'm feelin' the Fixxers' beats & their raps. They may not be as complex & the beats aren't as funky like Quik's older material was, but I can still tolerate & listen to their new songs.
-
judging by that other track 'produced by the fixxers' it doesn't seem like anything interesting is gonna come outta this. i'd always support quik anyway but i hope im wrong and there is some good music on its way.
-
Yeh as we all know AMG is the real Fixxer, Quik is just puttin' his name in because nobody gives a mad fuck about AMG, who the fuck is AMG? "Dirty West", get outta here.
-
I hope they get their fuckin' money for this, so Quik can put the DJ back in his name and go back to doing the fonky shit he's known for. All the shit that's come out with "The Fixxers" on it so far has been crap.
-
I don't know why everyone is blowing up AMG. Quik has been saying for years he wanted to do different types of music.

I think it's because he is blatantly selling out. They are looking to drop some catchy song and sell millions. There's no message in the music no more.
-
^^^ as much as i agree, u cant really say there was some profound message in "Medley for a V (the pussy medley)" ;D ... i would say that they are less inspired due to never getting the mainstream recognition that they (and we) believe they deserve... so its not surprising they are sacrificing their creativity to turn a profit and get that recognition
hopefully this interview will be posted on power106's website... also didnt someone mention that the fixxers would be dropping their 2nd single this week on power ???
peace
-
Yeah man.. From what amg said.. He said he was gonna drop by and drop off the new single.. But that's gonna be like in the evening part of the day.. Like around 5 or later.. Like when miguel from power 106 comes out.. Cause when they talked to amg on the night of the concert at the potredo club.. He called in.. And they asked him about the album.. And he said that they're workin on it.. And that they just finnished the 2nd single "dough" .. And like since he said that miguel was like.. Ahh well why don't we play the new single right now.. And amg was like.. Umm ima stop by durring the week to go drop off the single.. But as I said before amg also said.. That they have a Cali smash hit called "we winnin" could have that westcoast vibe to it... hopefully..
-
man people really need to get over the fact they're doing this for money
if you didn't realize this the second The Fixxers came out then you are retarded
either listen to the shit when it comes out or forget it's coming out
