http://www.indiehq.com/
the site that used to post them got a letter from a Soundscan attorney telling to stop posting them, that's some BS

Really it is. Why is it such a problem that the public sees sales figures?
-
haha i love it...its probably because the industry doesnt want the public to know how badly album sales have gone down the drain, so they can lie to us and give us bullshit figures like "album sales are down 12%" when they're probably way higher than that.

What bunch of fuckboys. >:(

Simple and plain, they don't want indie albums to shine. And they don't want people to get exposure to indie albums because people will see how damn near every release on a major sounds the exact same, and they'll finally say "wait, I was being fooled this whole time and had no idea how wack this bullshit excuse for music really is". And plus, if an indie album does well it further shows how the industries favorite excuse "illegal downloading" is bullshit. The majors are the ones who killed music sales but they'll do any and everything to convince you the consumer and the artist that it's illegal downloading.
