The family and friends of Dana Dane are concerned about the veteran rapper, who worked at the World Trade Center and is still missing. Dane is one of several thousand missing New Yorkers that family and friends hope will turn up alive and well as rescue efforts continue in downtown Manhattan.
Dana Dane took the rap world by storm with his signature British accent, especially on his first hit single, "Nightmares," from his debut album, 1987's Dana Dane With Fame. In 1990, he released Dana Dane 4 Ever, followed by 1995's Rollin' Wit Dane.
People concerned about missing loved ones can call the Bureau Of Labs at (212) 447-2998. In addition, many of the companies that were based at the World Trade Center have set up hotlines that can be accessed by calling directory assistance.

Despite the many tragedies that are so prevelent in the mainstream media, Hip-Hop lovers can rest with a bit of good news. After allhiphop.com was informed by legendary D.J./Producer Clark Kent that pioneer Dana Dane was missing and printing it, Dana Dane reached out to us to let us know that he is indeed alive and well. Dane, who worked in one of the collapsed towers in a computer related business, was presumed to be missing. "Thank you to all of you who had legitimate concerns," Dana Dane said. "I'm still in the world ... so far, alive and kicking!"
Not only is Dana Dane alive, he is also working on a number of new projects. "Let all of these record labels out there (independent or otherwise) know I've got some hot joints looking for an
outlet," Dana Dane said.

Thank God he is alive. Maybe that is a sign that others thought missing are still alive.
