(from Snoopsdoggpound.com)
, the site Raw Music TV put up a video interview of Goldie Loc. In the interview Goldie Loc said that he is going to start his own label in October and will still be part of Dogghouse, but not play as big a role. His solo album which was thought to be coming soon along with Tray Dee's album will not be coming out soon or at all. Goldie said he wants to put out some of his own acts on his label and then he might think of a solo career, but right now its on his new label. He didn't mention anything about splitting with Dogghouse, but it did seem like he was kind of splitting off into his own direction, but would still be part of Dogghouse Records probably signed with Tha Eastsidaz. This is just speculation, but it's like the same contract Daz and Kurupt hold on Dogghouse Records. They are signed as a group and not as solo artists. Goldie Loc has always put himself in a leadership position with producing talents. He first produced a song for a major album back in 1999 when he and Snoop hooked up for 20 Minutes on Snoop's No Limit Top Dogg album. He also produced and co-produced for song's on Tha Eastsidaz debut album Tha Eastsidaz. Goldie was considered more of a protege of Snoop than did Tray Dee. Now however, it looks like protege is going to have his own protege's and start something on his own. Good Luck to Goldie Loc and Dogghouse Records.
WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK ABOUT IT?
-
Thats Pretty Cool...
-
i don't think he's big enough to do it, in all honesty, good luck to him though, peace.
-
shit i didnt think he was big enough to be in the eastsidaz, and now this.......
-
good for him . but damn alot of rappers work their azz off in hopes of one day gettin a chance at owning their label . i guess he just caught a lucky break.
-
and i thought dogghouse was hella tight with eachother they rep dogghouse so hard i didn't think they would have people leaving and doing shit like this oh well bring tha soopafly cd on!!!
-
I dont like it at all.
I really like when there´s a records company like Death Row was back in the day: Everybody gathered on the same spot, like a big family. Not a superstar here and another there.
Aftermath R going in that direction, look at the roster now:
Dr.Dre
Eminem
Rakim
Hitman
Truth Hurts
6`2
Battlecat
Shaunta
The only one thats missing is Dj Quik, daaaamn it would be tight to see Quik on Aftermath!!!
And if he signed, U could almost compare Aftermath with the old death row roster.
Yes, i know that Quik wont sign with The Math cuz he got he´s own label soon.

Goldie Loc on his own can't blow up.
But i still support him and is music
-
He really needs to think more about this, but i'll surely support him.
-
Hopefully that means if he apears on anything on Dogghouse it will be as a part of Eatsidaz.
Cuz Goldie Loc aint a good artist,str8t up!
ON da rizzneals.
-
man ne@p that's harsh as fuck i though goldie improved alot from the first eastsidaz to the second!
-
Too many damn rappers are makin' they own lables...
-
fo real everybody should just stay put with there crews label unless they hella big ya feel?
-
But remember, after Snoop came out with Doggystyle, he made his own record label, Doggystyle Records and after Eminem came out with The Slim Shady LP, he had his own label Slim Shady Records... I'm sure nelly will have one too.

yeah but goldie Loc hast even had one album out yet.
and those albums that they realesed were huge, thats why they have their own lable. goldie loc is just really really lucky
-
yeah i like goldie but he ain't big enough to have his own label wit nelly he could get his own label put tha st lunitics on it slim wit d12 snoop wit long beach dpg rappers tha other thing is most of the reason the 2 eastsidaz sold so much is cause snoops in the group goldie just aint big enough!
-
I don' t think goldie wants to big either... he is just going to do what he wants... kinda like daz. He will probably sell more than Daz too.

too many rapperz r makin their own labels, iz tru
i thin goldie should think more bout this imo ... but if he goes 4 it ... i'll support him :-/
-
I dont think she should do it so early, he aint been multiplatinum yet. I think startin a label is good when people gon by yo shit for just havin a Executed by Goldie Loc stamp on it. But if he stays a part of Tha Eastsidaz, thats cool. I just think that he'll fail like 1000s ov em.
-
We shouldn't knock him 4 wanting 2 try though.
