We Come Strapped (MC Eiht) released in 1994 and Safe + Sound (DJ Quik) released in 1995, during their beef and arguably the best solo album from Eiht & Quik, so which1 was better?

tough choice i luv both, but i'll go with We Come Strapped by MC Eiht

jesus I havent thought this hard since calculus.
I really cant decide...quik rocked for that fall, winter and eiht got bumped all that summer.

Quik is a much better artist in evey way, but We Come Strapped is a hip hop classic, way better than Safe N Sound imo.

Safe + Sound is one of my favorite rap records, and Quik was on point with every song on that album.

I think it's senseless to compare these albums. S+S is G-Funk and We Come Strapped laid back, straight gangsta rap. Both albums are classics for sure, but I think they aren't comparable soundwise.
I would go with We Come Strapped tho, cause I love the laid back jazzy feeling of this album. "Compton Bomb" is a hell of a song, the best Eiht track imo.

You cant even compare the two albums for 1 reason , Quiks album is a soft party album , and Eiht's is a Hard, Dark , Hip hop classic , which held the #1 spot for 5 weeks straight , and had rush limbaugh and the president on his ass about the album ,
Plus the music on We come strapped is 10x more complex & musical , not just some simple clap beats like Quik that everybody gets way to happy about !!!! ::) ::)

my vote goes to We Come Strapped..............but for the same reason as above. The music was just crazy and unlike anything else i had heard at that time
one thing i really like is that the whole album sounds alike. willie z on the keys, the thick bass lines - it just all adds up to being a West Coast masterpiece
too bad Eiht didnt really follow that template with later releases. he needs to get back to producing aswell - and bring Willie Z and Slip back with him!

We Came Straped is a classic but its repeitive and boring at times(same shit over and over again)...Safe + Sound has that fresh, funky feel to it, not to mentiion classic songs such as summer breeze, safe & sound, and dollaz and sense...

if ya wanna talk about Soundtrack's.. well Quik was on "Murder was the case" soundtrack aswell rappin and producing.... and that went 2x plat aswell..
also on the "above the rim" Soundtrack which went 2x plat..
