Okay not really, but I'm starting to like this bitch. It started with "The Sideshow Remix" and worked its way on to "Ghost Ride It". I got a lot of catching up to do...
-
you're starting like that "bitch"? the fuc?
-
Fab is pretty skilled, but he is way too corny for my tastes.
-
Mistah FAB is fire!! One of my favorites from the bay (as far as hyphy movement up to date) ...DA Baydestrian could of been a lot better though , it has some hits but I think it lacked feature guest more like keak..e-40 or clyde carson, JDiggs etc...favorite song the album is "Get it together" track is hot! (" one million pills in dre's casket, he'll be thizzzn forever!!"
-
ya FAB is tite.. i like how he can switch up and be serious too

Without a doubt, but what I don't like is the image he pushes to the country outside of the Bay. Most people out here think of him as a comedy rapper, I'm hoping he will make it far enough for casual fans, and people like me who don't like hyphy, to see just how great of an emcee he really can be.

fabby davis jr is tight as hell 8)

It worked for Mac Dre (its just unfortunate he passed before everyone caught on) - I think it can work for FAB too.

I'm glad that u said that becuase this is a topic Ive been wanting to speak on for a while. 1st of all, Dre went to jail for years and got out like everything was all good. He was a unique personalility, and yeah he was ultra corny and goofy, but it did work for HIM. My main problem with the Bay is that they almost all tried to copy that style. Niggas respected Dre for what he was, the dudes copying just come off as corny to people outside of Cali.
As far as Fab, he can be a fantasic emcee and is a great songwriter, he also has a great personality. The thing is, with his Ghostride singles and that funny style of raps, his lyrics go from great to amaturish. Also, the way he prestened himself on My Block makes the rest of the country not feel him. That style that he uses is all MD's imo and I will be checking for the album because I know that he is gonna have some great tracks. I dunno if I can stomach the goofy shit though.

I doubt if he's gonna overdo it. Just like Mac Dre had songs like "Get Stupid" & "Feelin Myself" on the same album with "Fa My Niggaz" and "On the Run". I think the whole hyphy/thizz thing is just for the mainstream but its still gonna have street bangers on the album. At least I hope so, cuz I couldn't stomach a whole album of that type of shiet either.

True, well I didn't hear Baydestrian yet so it has yet to be seen. Still, gotta wish all the best for fabby.

That's what I'm talking about... normally I hate tons of guest appearences, but this CD is lackin' majorly! Still going to give it an honest bump though later on though.
-
yeah that casket line about dre is funny.. I remember some goofy ass cat threw a pill in the casket at the funeral, got escorted outside and his ass beat the fuc down lol!! but too bad columbia pictures had to be some lil bitches and stop the Yellow Bus Ridah record from comin out, this baydesterian shit was put out quickstyle so thizz can capitalize on the hype around FAB.. the real Atlantic Records album is pushed back to later this year, hopefully he don't get thrown outta the label by then.
