c) The " I wish they would come out on DVD for nostalgic reasons"

Now I need recomendations for new tv shows to watch over the summer, so far I got:

"Scrubs" gets a lot of praise... i remember watching some of the episodes in its first season that were funny
im not sure if im right, but i thought they lost some characters over the next few seasons... i forgot why i stopped watching it, maybe because i thought it was gonna turn into a "relationship" comedy sitcom... also, the fact that it takes place in a hospital sometimes leads to "emotional" :-\ moments... not quite what i'm looking for in a comedy.
Scrubs (you need to see this a.s.a.p., best sitcom since Seinfeld)
post-Seinfeld, ima have to go with "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (although not a sitcom in the traditional sense) as being the best comedy series... some episodes of "Curb" surpass "Seinfeld" in its prime... plus Larry David doesn't have to worry about network censors at HBO
the first two seasons of "Arrested Development" were just as brilliant... the writing was probably too smart for the majority of television viewers, but running gags through each episode always made it entertaining... and the character development was just as good as Seinfeld (GOB is too much ;D )... It's final season didn't achieve the same brillance as the first two seasons, since it was only green-lighted 13 episodes and didn't have enough time to properly develop more plot lines
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is also up there (only been around 2 seasons) and is slept on because it airs on FX... watch the first episode titled "The Gang Gets Racist" ;D and i think you'll get hooked...
i see "30 Rock" as having the potential of being great... who knows, it might burn out... but Tracy Morgan makes the show for me, and the plotlines and chemistry among characters are great... i was never ever EVER a fan of SNL when Tina Fey was writing, so i was surprised that I liked this show so much :-\
sorry for the term paper, but i think these shows are worth checking out

Its all good, thanks for the recomendations.
About Scrubs, they didn't loose any characters. There are some emotinal moments but they are mixed with comedy so perfect in the frist 5 seasons. Howere, the 6th, that just ended, was really weak.
But I strongly recomend you to watch the 1st 5 seasons. They're hilarious.
