Title: What's the story with "The Shit" by D.O.C.?
Post by: GangstaBoogy on May 29, 2007, 12:53:16 AM: There's 1 version featuring Xzibit and another version featuring Snoop Dogg. Anyone know the story behind that? That song came out around the time Snoop & Xzibit wasn't really fuckin with each other. Is it possible Snoop got X kicked off the song?

i dont know what happened but that sounds very possible to me..it wouldnt be the first time snoop does something like this

Machine, so maybe Columbia refused to let the Xzibit version be played on radio or released as a single, kinda like Akon's label had Akon removed from Snoop's "Boss Life".. (DOC's album dropped 2-3 months after Man Vs. Machine, so MVM was still selling)

Besides, it was a recycled Xzibit verse.. didn't really fit the beat 100%.
