it's a good song, it sold 10 million records, it's a classic. can't say it's a rap song though. deserves to be on the list non the less.

Hey Ya is worse than terrible. I'd almost put the song on the same level at Vanilla Ice or MC Hammer BS of the early 90s. Pure garbage.

I have no problem with the song, I even liked it at some point, but it was overplayed like a lot of music in the mainstream today, and you can't deny that it really did a lot for Outcast (saleswise), but I don't think it should be anywhere near a list of top quality material

Well, I actually like the song. In fact, I requested it in a club just a few nights ago. Really enjoyable if that's your cup of tea, but to call it a musical masterpiece... ???
There's no rapping in it though, so how's this a rap song? Eh.

I wouldn't pay attention to most of these lists. Half the time they blatantly over / under rate shit just to get people talking about their mag.
But when I heard Hey Ya! I was completely blown away. I def wouldn't call it a rap song by any means, but I loved that shit when I first heard it. It def got played the fuck out but it was a great song. Andre managed to once again completely flip his approach to music. Thinking of where OutKast began and where they are today is crazy.
Sadly, I thought the joints they did for their movie sucked ass and was easily their worst work to date. And I think I read that their next album is gonna be 2 separate discs again. My expectations aren't very high and I thought I'd never say that about OutKast.

I could have sworn Idlewild was said to be their last. It was pretty damn wack but had a few songs I liked like that one called The Train. They're probably trying to do Speakerboxx/The Love Below because it was their biggest commercial success.

I think people hate on it because they don't like it. I just found it annoying. I liked that Big Boi song called I Like the Way You Move way better. I have no problem liking a good mainstream song.

I can't believe it's one ahead of Green Onions. Now that is a timeless piece of music that will forever be used to describe the second half of the 1900s. Oh well, remember the Rolling Stone list before this one named Kurt Cobain as a top 20 guitarist while Van Halen was like 80 something, and Slash wasn't listed. I know he made nerds and losers everywhere feel good about themselves and those nerds and losers now run music magazines and such, but top 20 guitarist? Top 20 lyricist fine, not guitarist.

MJ's highest ranked song at nr 58 and Eminem is ranked 100 positions higher with Lose Yourself compared to Sugar Hill Gangs "Rappers Delight" when they should be way up in top 10.
We should make a real list instead on dubcc.
