Aftermath Music recently got the next opportunity to interview Stat Quo. He has been making noise this year with his single "Here we go". We talked with him about working with other artists, "The Re-Up" and find out the current status of his debut album "Statlanta" and Dr. Dre's "Detox".

I just doubt they'll release it on Agust 28th. Thats 1 week after Kanye and one week before 50. But knowing Interscope, they just might do it ::)

nice interview....so i take it the track featuring 50 and produced by The Runners was bullshit i guess...since he pretty much said all the producers and features.....cant wait...i bet the Nottz and Storch cuts are bangers.

its pretty rare an emcee impresses me in an interview but he's seems like a real dude and a smart nice guy. i always liked his shit. statlanta is probably my most wanted aftermath shit after detox.
You can't help but be inspired by that considering these guys have been in the business all this time and they still work like they're broke. That's the shit!

AFTERMATH UPDATES:
Eve is still signed to Full Surface/Aftermath but Geffen will distribut her album "Here I Am" and NOT Interscope. Dre will only produce 1 song on her LP.
Bishop's "The Reformation" will be released in the 2nd quater of '08 with DETOX following in late Summer.
So for '07 so far:

Stat Quo's never blown me away but he seems like a real cool down to earth dude so i'll check him when he comes out

Detox ain't coming out at least until 3050 so why bother anticipating it? By that time Dre's grandson's grandson's grandson's grandson finally put the last touch to it and it wil sell 1 copy.

you guys honestly think stat quo is going to come out on AUG 28th ? there has been no promotion for him that dre single has not even been on the radio yet not that many people know who he is i doubt hes coming out this year

Do not forget Stat Quo is on Shady records too. And they usually are faster in their releases thgen Aftermath. Let's hope it will come out this year, wouldn't surprise me if not though.
If Statlanta isn't dropping this year i suggest Stat to go to another label or put out something by himself. It is awfully quiet lately, no mixtapes, no singles, no videoclips, rarely a interview....very strange when his album is supposed to drop in August, but let's not jump to conclusions yet, maybe they wait for summer to start to drop his first single.
