downloading... Why Advance?
If that's what you're asking yourself, then why are you downloading it? Why not wait for the retail?
-
Finally In The Mood in CDQ :)
I wouldn't be mad at all if a link for this appears in my inbox :]
-
when is the album actually coming out?
-
downloading... Why Advance?
If that's what you're asking yourself, then why are you downloading it? Why not wait for the retail?
What? I was just asking why its tagged "Advance".. Because sometimes its gonna be a totally other tracklist on retail.. other times there is no big difference.
-
can't wait i've been waitin for this album ever since he said it was gonna drop in january
-
downloading... Why Advance?
If that's what you're asking yourself, then why are you downloading it? Why not wait for the retail?
Cause backpackers like Talib Kweli suck ass (no homo).

Man, I think you're a cool poster an all, but saying Talib "sucks ass" is a bit harsh, don't you think?I mean, everybody's cool with you not liking him, but I can see some people catchin' feelings about your post, and I don't think it's justified. For example, I don't think I'll ever check out a Jedi Mind Tricks album, cause I simply don't like them, but I'll never say they wack or something, cause I know they done their fare share of quality stuff.
SOrry for the rant, I just had to speak on this

Damn he just keeps getting his shit leaked early, doesn't he? He needs to keep his records locked up or something. I might check this...

Yeah chill on that X, youre cool in my book, but Talib definitley doesn't suck ass. At least back up your statement homie. That's the kind of things a Dipset stan would do.
And I'm not a big fan of "backpackers" myself, but Kweli is just a dope emcee, period.
-
That's a good album... songs with UGK and KRS-ONE are dope :o
-
Pretty dope, definitely a return to form, although it does get a little samey at some points.

For real. It must of been the mixing engineers who leaked it since it's a advance. Are the songs mastered?

Yesh.

The first 3 tracks are heat. I heard it while going to sleep, but I think this shit is gonna be sick.

08 03:43 In The Mood
that song appears on the new free KanYe mixtape with a verse of his, whereas it doesn't appear here.

What i meant with myt post was to show some knuckleheads here how these "smart" mc's/rappers like Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, etc. etc. are hipocrit as fuck. Example, Talib Kweli is known for his "hate" towards white people, but at the same time he want the black community to get accepted, using reverse racism to preach anti-racism is just dumb as fuck. Same with that Lupe Fiasco dude, skateboarding and all. When Jim Jones creates a skatingteam it's not cool, but when Lupe Fiasco makes (wack) songs about how he rides on his skateboard (no homo) then it is "part of his image".
No hate intended, these are just examples of the top of my mind, ill look if i can come up with some more. I just don't like these backpacker mc's and especially the ones who are considered to be "smart".
I rather bump some UGK, Young Jeezy, Fresh Prince, Bone Thugs or Lil' Wyte music. Some examples of the shit i'm down with.
Again, no hate intened, but imo the likes of Talib Kweli just suck at music. Everyone is so "hyped" about how lyrical dudes like that are, fuck that.
-
Talib Kweli is known for his "hate" towards white people
Can you back that up, since that's what you base your theories around? I pretty much always thought Kweli (as well as Mos Def, Common, etc) was a positive rapper. He's no part of dead prez, Black Market Militia or anything likewise, revolutionary and violent...

Ha! That's classic right there, although I thought Can I Borrow A Dollar was corny - good looking on getting your collector game up!

Can I Borrow A Dollar isnt his best album, but i still like it.. It can be pretty hard to find on vinyl, but I got it for a nice prize..
-
Just another point for Xander; UGK are featured on Country Cousins.
-
Yes i know, but does that has anything to do with my opinion?
@ 11z, go look up this forum, there's some old topics about that shit i mentioned. Talib Kweli said some shit about white people (dunno if it was on record or in interviews) and then the topic turned into a Ice Cube one, saying how he was against white people back in the days but working with Scott Storch in hos last album.
I can't be bothered to look it up for you though, i don't care if you agree with me or not, it's all good to me.

As a white man, I also don't fuck with rappers who are anti-White like DP'z, Paris, etc. Talib might have mentioned White people, but I kniow dude shows love, it's NOT a part of his regular lyrical content, and he's nasty as fuck for a "backpack" rapper.

I just hate the fact that people view these underground releases as the best ones while albums like Crutis, T.I. vs. T.I.P. and Shock Value get mad hate just cause they're mainstream.
I wanted to show these "real hiphop heads" from the underground are just the same as the cats many here hate on, so for that they are hipocrits.
Next to that, i don't like Talib Kweli's music, i never liked it, doubt i ever will. Simple as that. It's cool if you bump his music though, go cop the album if you like it. 8)

Trillls....well u know that there are plenty of people on this site ( myslef included ) that can listen too 50, TIP & Talib at the same time. As far as people hating on Fif, Ti, Tim, etc., what do you exepect? This all comes from jealousy, and it's usually because the fan's favorite rapper is not in that popular rapper's spot.
