As soon as I read the track title of Mitchy Slick and Messy Marv's latest track "From Diego To The Bay", I knew which sample they had used. California Love? Dr. Dre? "It's All Good, From Diego To The Bay...". That's right.
A couple of months ago, San Diego's Mitchy Slick and the Bay's Messy Marv announced their collaboration album "Messy Slick", which will be dropping on Siccness/Scalene/Wrongkind Records on June 26th. To check out the song I was talking about, click below:

Be on the lookout for the album, because it's shaping up to be a monster!

bomb shit! this record will fuck everything else this year, even "Dogg Chit", "Digital Smoke" and "Da Baydestrian", until WC drops in August, which will be the album of the year :D
-
Didn't they have a deal with Koch for this record before?

I hope not

I hope SO. It will get distribution across the US.
-
won't they spent too much money for that? because nobody outside cali wil really buy thsi record. I think Siccness/Scalen/Wrongkind is strong enough to handle it, isn't it?
-
The Siccness.net is advertising it that way. Not hard to find at all if u check out the site. Maybe they lost the deal because Mess went back to jail.

and how do you know that german customer??? aaahhh here's someone not from cali that will buy the album 8)

Tight, but I need a download link. Hook it up, Nima. >:(

it's common knowledge man... no matter where I'm from. Westcoast records like that won't be bought that much outside of cali. I got my copie of Bullys Wit Fullys 3 for example from a german dude who buys his shit from cali for cheap and he can sell the cd's overhere for normal prices, I always buy from him. www.puddah-store.de you find everything there. so I don't see why they would need a big distribution deal. Even Dogg Chit didn't sell enough for that Koch-distribution to be worth. Or look at Mistah FAB, he pushed 5000 units first week without that.
-
Ugh that sample is too choppy.

Be on the lookout for a massive video interview with Mitchy dropping soon.
-
Thanks folr the info!! I can't wait for this album
-
Whoa, I missed this. And now I can't hear the track cos I'm at work :(
I still wish they'd called the album 'Mitchy Marv'.
-
What's the deal w/ Mitchy Slick?
He dropped, IMO, one of the best records in 2006, had video promo's and didn't they never come out? There was also little to no advertisement online either..
A good record pretty much went unappreciated.
Onto the track, I really don't like the sample, like Gboogy said it's too chopped, Mitchy drops a decent verse, overall not an impressing track though.

dam im lovin this track though! cant wait 4 the album
