Snoop 7 consecutive platinum albums, wouldn't want the streak to end with BCT seeing it's one of his best albums
and did Docs Advocate ever hit plat?
-
Snoop and Game both fell off the charts about a few months ago, I think Snoop was at 850k and Game was at over 900k
-
I've been searching and can't find it anywhere that they went platinum.
-
nah i dont think the went plat
-
they should sell their cd for 7.99 thats what chamillionnaire did for his platinum plaque
-
Game shipped plat I think. In the end Re Up sold more than both albums...
-
I think it will end up with plat status
-
did re up actually reach 1 million in sales??
game will reach plat sooner or later, its juss 50k more that he needs, maybe by the end of 2007 if he pushes 1 k a week lol
snoop shoulda dropped the singles sooner than he did
and he should used akon more instead of releasin the i wanna fuck you song under akons name he should released it under his
akon benefited from it more than snoop
-
Both probably shipped platinum by now. Snoop is farther from it then Game though. Maybe he will drop one more single to push it over the top.
-
i can't believe game was outselling snoop

Me too. I thought with Game dropping the weeks before it would give him a bigger lead but Snoop would catch him with more mainstream friendly singles, but both just fell off the charts.

The Game hasn't been out as long as Snoop has.
-
never gherd of either doin plat

That's because it was originally Akon's song. Snoop just put it on his record at the request of his record execs. He says this in the dubcc interview.

I highly doubt either of them DID NOT ship over a million copies. I don't know why they didn't pay to get the plaques.

Game's CD actually dropped a week before Snoop's. I think the $7.99 thing is a good idea to get a platinum plaque.

It's up to the record company, some labels just don't care since they have to pay a fee for certification, and at this point in his career I doubt Snoop with all the plaques he has cares whether he gets a platinum plaque, he knows he sold close to a million anyway and not many rap album go plat these days

I don't even think it costs $500 to get your record certified. Although for some it may be a hassle, it can still be seen as credentials for the company.
