I remember a friend of mine having the original cassette of Dre's Chronic that was different from the one that dropped. I never saw that or heard about it ever again and he lost that copy he had. It had different versions of a few tracks and Bitches aint shit was not on it, plus the tracklisting was a little different. who has this dammit!
-
I had it but gave it to my brother.... I will talk to him and see if he still got it
I bought it back in '91-'92
-
bought it where though because that shit never was for sale. where did you buy it at because the one I saw was an advance store copy but never was released for actual sale.
-
i have it and to tell u the truth, ur not missin out, it really isnt any different except that its missin bitches aint shit.....
-
I read a blog about this some time ago, written by an editor who worked at The Source at the time. he said it had one or two different tracks and well as some different lyrics on some of the songs. It would be really interesting to hear. I imagine the original 'Mr Officer' is on there.

-
i'll try to but im tellin u man, i got both versions, i actually got the '92 version from some used record store and thought itd be cool to have the original, but when u listen to it, its really not that different, no different tracks at least, some tracks might be a little tweaked but its still the same material overall, but ya i'll up it and yall can be the judge

I wasn't aware of another version

A year or two back I had a limited edition that was released in the 90's (not the re-release) but it was a 2-disc. The 1st disc was the Chronic album that you're talking about, missing the "Bitches Ain't Shit" track on the tracklist, but the 2nd disc was the "Natural Born Killaz" cd single. I've never seen anyone else that has had this, but I advertised it for sale on here, and eventually sold it on ebay. Anyone else ever had that?

^^ that sounds cool man... whats the tracklist of that cd single?

I don't know the tracklist since I don't have the cd anymore, but I believe it was 5 tracks:
1. LP version
2. edited version
3. Dr. Dre remix explicit
4. Dr. Dre remix edited
5. Dr. Dre remix instrumental

I'll have to check to make sure, but I don't think I did.
The instrumental isn't rare, is it?
