Dubcnn: Then we get to track 10, which was “L.A.X.” A lot of people looked at that as a disappointment.

Snoop: I wouldn’t give a fuck about a lot of people being disappointed! Who are a lot of people? I ain’t never met them!

Dubcnn: Me personally, I was disappointed by the song too.

Damn, I don't understand... ??? In my opinion, this song is bangin', it's one of tha best tracks from "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment"... I luv it. 8)

Whatchu think bout it??

Average at best, i never liked Cube/Snoop collabos man, they suffer from bad beats somehow, while on they own they pick way better beats...

dissapointing, reminds me of when I heard Cube was gonna be on the CIA album and they just sampled his voice >:(, anyway like said before average beat by Battlecat and Snoop was spitting on BCT but not on this track IMO, Cube was also average on this

I like the song, that for me it a song like Go To Church is more what I expect. Something with more high energy and aggression to it. But definitely with a more west coast sounding beat. Something like The Streets or West Coast Voodoo and the latter Cube/Snoop collabos have been laid back.

It was piss poor for their standard.

I've never listened to it the whole way through, the beat was that bad  :'(

I thought it was going to be hype having those two on the same track.

I like the sample Battlecat used for that track, but the beat was kinda underwhelming for a Snoop\Cube collabo.

What about Go to Church? They both killed the beat.

weak as fuck it sounded like leftover track to me....It should of been on a soundtrack to a video game or a mixtape not the album

Pretty good track in my opinion, but when you hear "Snoop Cube and Battlecat" together, it seemed like it should have been an instant classic, when that clearly isn't the case with this track.  This is a good solid track, but it's not even trying to be a classic.

Yeah ok i forgot about that track, you're right. Imo Cube & Tha Dogg Pound (or Kurupt or Daz solo) make a way better combo though, like that song on So So Gangsta.

Cube's Freestyle-Verse was classic:

"Woke up chillin' in the LBC
I grew up in the HNC
But that ain't what I turned out to be
Understand me that I'm still a G
who ain't never spent a day in the penitentiary"

I definitely feel what some of y'all are sayin....it definitely was not a "bad" track, and I rarely skip past it...but for it to be Snoop and Cube, then Battlecat, then for it to be on an album that had more than a few bangers...many of us just expected more. Like Fatdodger said....we were expectin some "Eastsidaz" or WC styled Battlecat with a wild ass, gang bang walkin bassline and uptempo feel to it...but the beat sounded more like somethin you'd use for a skit or as a filler song. Even the 5th and 6th best Battlecat beats on Eastsidaz and WC's Shadiest One were better than this one. Cube and Snoop sound decent on it, and have a few hot lines...but neither of em ripped it like that.

Both of them got off on Go to church...but the beat was an overtypical Lil Jon beat, which was good for what it was, but being that it was that style of beat, we couldn't see it as a West Coast heater like that...especially because it would get played during a crunk segment at the club versus a west coast segment.

And y'all are right....Only in California is by far their best collabo.

I agree.

LAX was not Super Wack but I was expecting much better from a Snoop and Cube Colabo.

Honestly, I usually skip it when I listen to the Blue Carpet Treatment.

I also always skip "Beat Up on Yo Pads" and "Like This"  ::)

Man, U look on it like "Oh, beat from Battlecat, it must be sum heavy shit", but look on "Ballin'" from "Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo$$" - it's such a mothafuccin' light and chillout shit and it has the beat from Battlecat. I think this song is a classic, Snoop and Cube rapped their verses perfect and I luv this beat too...

I mean either way...whether Cat is on chill mode or super gang bang mode with the beats....he's made GREAT beats both ways, with many being inbetween like "We can freak it" and "G'd up". However...Ballin was a much better beat than this...even though I could never in my life see Cube on that track.

Listening back now the track is aight it suffers from the biggie sample and a million background sounds that get annoying.

well considering the fact that Battlecat had niice mainstream songs like "Just a Baby boy", "Do You Wanna Roll", "You" By Lucy Pearl, i must say that this one must be his wackest beat so far,as i think about it, i must say that Battlecat is losng it!

u know which battlecat produced song that is kinda new is real dope

is that one on cali is active album by the dogg pound.

the one that starts off wit snoop saying produced by battle cat

its called "its all hood" ft ice cube.
the beat and everything else is classic.

the only bad thing is it really didnt have cube on it.  just some sampled voice of him on the chorus.
