I downloaded the trial version like 1 year ago and for some reason it's good. Everytime i start up  a window pops up telling me that my 40 day thing expired and if i would like to buy it. I press cancel and I'm still good.

^ Yeah, I do the same exact thang. But I'm talking about the passwords. When this * is next to the songs.

In that case the only way to extract the files is by password. Often times the password is contained within the filename, or by the name of the person who uploaded the file, by the name of the site that the file was downloaded from, or it could be a number of things.

Try going back to the site where the file originated from and see if it says anything about the password needed to extract. If nothing is listed than try downloading a password cracker for winrar, although that may take a while.
