I'm gonna say it-Most down south Hip-Hop is garbage. If it wasn't for Outkast, UGK, Gipp, 36 Mafia and possibly Lil Flip and Slim Thug the south would be straight butt. TI=wack, Mike Jones=wack, Whoever sings "Party like a rock star"=wack, Whoever sings "my lip gloss is poppin"=beyond wack. Let's pledge to keep the west alive!

LOL...Mafia is cool, the majority of there tracks are so fuckin generic it's scary...Lil Flip = WACK...He is so horrible, it's not even funny..dude should stick to freestyling, cause he can't write for shit...he's got so many cheesy un-inspirded lines, it's unbelievable...Slim Thug is avg. at BEST...i liked him, and i copped his debut album which was straight trash

T.I. is the best in the south...U didn't even mention luda, chamillionaire, wayne and so on

Post by: no1wammy on August 03, 2007, 12:22:37 PM: I loved Julio G. I used to remember checking him out on 92.3 The Beat when he was hosting the 9 0' Clock bomb (Remember that!?). The biggest surprise was hearing Eminem on that show. It was Julio that sparked me liking Eminem and his crafty wordplay. I was very partial with Friday cause that was West Coast. Back then, I was sleepin'. Didn't realize how big he was apart of the west coast until I learned of him and Tony G produced a big Chicano anthem in the early 90's - Kid Frost's "La Raza."

Now I want to hear more of Julio G. I hope to interview him as part of the Rewind. Some day.
