-
ehh francis wont help shit
-
Overrated and overpaid looser.
-
its not a done deal quite yet... theres other teams interested in francis too.
but if he does come to la, hopefully he goes back into stevie franchise mode. he was garbage up in ny.
-
Vancouver hates him ;D
-
francis and mobley back together. they've got good chemistry so i'm sure this will work out well. elton brand is going and corey maggette are going to do their thang as well. it'll be suprising if they miss the playoffs again.
-
Francis CAN still contribute, believe that, he just needs an attitude makeover. LAC doesn't seem like a real inspiring place to play at.
-
Theyre not winning a championship or anything....but they SHOULD at least be respectable in the West. If they make the playoffs they wont be an easy out either. Too bad for the Clips, this is like the most successful few years in a row (recordwise) theyve had in a long time...and they play in the West. In the East, # 4 seed easy lol

Stop posting bs thats not official. He's in talks with the Clippers, Lakers, Heat, and Mavericks.

The Portland Trail Blazers waived guard Steve Francis on Tuesday after agreeing to a buyout of his contract.
Francis is now an unrestricted free agent and should clear waivers in seven days. Francis scored in this deal, as he was able to collect more than $30 million of his $34 million contract in the agreement. (Jeff) Fried [Francis' agent] said the deal allows Francis to choose the "right fit as opposed to the most money. He doesn't need much to be made whole." He's likely to end up with the Clippers, but the Mavericks, Heat and Lakers have also expressed interest in him. If he joins the Clippers, he'll be reunited with ex-teammate and best friend, Cuttino Mobley. Chances are he's going to see significant playing time, and possibly a starting job, wherever he ends up. Good call, Francis is a baby, he has to be playing where he wants to play ( obvioulsy the Vancouver, NY fiascos come to mind ), so the Clips will be a good fit. I know it's unfair to say cuz he got hurt, but I just don't like Livingston like that. Francis could be a great fit.
Kaman+Brand+Maggette+Francis+Mobley, not bad at all, gotta agree with wat NIK said. There bench is decent too, hopefully Ewing & Ross will really step it up too. They got a lot of young dudes with potential to have a break out season.

Dickhead, I've broken many stories on here before they actually went down, shut your amature mouth, Francis most likely isn't going anywhere else. Mobley is his butt-buddy, dude is signing with the Clips unless Mobley is gone from the picture...PeACe

Ewing was waived...Will Conory is a nice young prospect though. He was on the Laker training camp roster a couple years back and looked great...PeACe

Lol whatever you say NIK Vecsey.
Steve Francis could be ready to bring his career back to where it began – with the Houston Rockets. Hours after Francis agreed to have his contract bought out by the Portland Trailblazers, his agent, Jeff Fried, began talks with several teams – including the Rockets.
Fried said Francis, 30, is considering the Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, all of whom he said have shown interest or have been receptive to pursuing Francis.

He's signing with the Clippers.

playoff team.
seed #6.

Ok I don't get it. Why would Portland trade for him and then release him? Am I missing something?

Portland traded for Frye, Francis just came along in the deal...

Yeah I know that but why would they want Francis if they were gonna release him anyways? Didn't they just waste 30 million on this guy? To me it just sounds like a horrible business move.

Sounds like New York would only do the deal if Francis was included...

Giving up 30 Mil, Randolph, Dickau & Jones for Frye is one of the worst moves of all time.

Yeah that's why it doesn't make any sense to me ???
Maybe they were planning on keeping Francis but he was really being an asshole to the FO. I don't know, GMs of basketball sometimes make drop outs look like PHD professors.
-
Fred Jones and Dan Dickau were unservicable for Portland...They wanted to unload Zach Randolph's contract. Honestly, Randolph is overrated.
-
He's signing with the Clippers.
wrong again douche...
Former Rockets guard Steve Francis is about to be future Rockets guard Steve Francis.
Francis chose the Rockets over the Heat, Mavericks and Clippers, his agent Jeff Fried said on Thursday.
"I just hung up with Daryl (Morey, the Rockets general manager)," Fried said. "He is dealing with facilitating the contract.
"It's a combination of a variety of factors including the fit with the team, a comfortableness with the organization and a familiarity with the surroundings. He has a home in Houston. In so many ways, it has remained his home, despite some interim stops, Orlando and New York.
"For Steve, it's coming home.

Funny, they just signed Mike James AND still have Rafer Alston PLUS Aaron Brooks and John Lucas all playing point guard :-X...When I posted this, talks were that he was 90% going to the Clippers. Those talks died down a couple days later...Don't be a bitter fag.
-
this could go one of two ways for the rockets. either way they still have a good core accumulating down there.
